The ballroom's getting busy.
Alix Earle will officially join the season 34 cast of Dancing With the Stars to compete for the Len Goodman Mirrorball trophy when the season airs in the fall. The news was announced on Good Morning America on Thursday morning.
Earle is one of the most influential social media personalities in the U.S., as well as the creator and host of the Hot Mess podcast. Her brand features blunt honesty and humor, as well as fashion, beauty, and lifestyle tips.
Her success has earned her a place on Forbes’ Top Creators and Fashion 50 lists, as well as being named an industry top creator in Rolling Stone's annual Creators issue. In 2024, she was chosen by readers as Allure's Beauty Creator of the year, as well as recognized by PEOPLE as a digital creator of the year. Rounding out her epic year, she was also featured in The Hollywood Reporter's 2024 Podcast Power list.
Earle joins Robert Irwin in the cast, who was named the first contestant in the latest crop of celebrity dancers last month. Irwin is the second member of his family to compete, following in the fancy footsteps of his sister, Bindi, who won with partner Derek Hough back in season 21.
Historically, DWTS has waited until closer to the premiere date to announce most of the cast, often dropping a name or two early over the summer; however, the show celebrates its 20th anniversary in June, and it seems likely that they're rolling out some of the cast further in advance than usual to mark that milestone.
Last season, The Bachelor star Joey Graziadei and his professional partner, Jenna Johnson, were crowned champions. For now, it seems as if the reality competition is maintaining its tradition of keeping the names of which pros are paired with the celebs under wraps.
