If you have yet to meet one of your favorite stars, imagine heading to an event and coming face to face with them, only to have them recognize you. That’s what happened recently in the case of General Hospital’s Rena Sofer. Sure, the actress has been a mainstay in daytime for many, many years so it’s not unheard of that she’d be familiar to many but still… meeting one of her idols will be a moment that the ABC soap actress won’t soon forget.

“What a day it is when you get to meet one of your idols!” Sofer shouted from the rooftops then went on to explain how she and her family are huge fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race. In fact, they’ve watched almost every episode. “We love RuPaul for creating the most incredible safe space and platform for the drag and LGBTQIA+ communities!”

However, Sofer added that one of her favorite parts of the show is Michelle Visage — her fellow Jersey girl. “I was honestly intimidated to meet her but wow!” she shared and talked about how kind and welcoming she was. “And to find out she’s a General Hospital fan and especially a Lois fan? I almost burst into flames!”

Watch the video below to see how Sofer reacted when she first met Visage, who, at the sight of the actress exclaimed, “Lois Cerullo as I live and breathe.”

The fun didn’t stop there… Visage jumped into the comments under the post and cheered, “Lois forever! You gorgeous goddess you made my day,” to which Sofer replied, “You made my day! You were my number one to meet and you were lovely! They say be careful meeting your idols but I’m so glad I met you… you are everything!

So exciting! And if you want to see more pics from their big outing, Sofer posted “a wonderful photo dump” that featured another familiar General Hospital face.
