Many will recall the reports of a major cast shake-up on ‘Married To Medicine’ heading into the show’s landmark 10th season.
Well, not only have murmurs proven true – there’s now intel on who is in and who is out on the long-running Bravo show.
Veteran producer Carlos King confirmed on his Reality with The King podcast that ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ alum Phaedra Parks is officially in.
Echoing earlier reports, King re-asserted that the fan-favorite was presented with opportunities to return to RHOA or on-board to ‘Medicine’ and ultimately went with the latter.
Far from random casting, she’s said to have existing relationships with key figures on the show and even dated “Dr. Gregory,” the ex-husband of cast member Quad Webb.
Touting Parks as an expensive acquisition, it was intimated that her arrival meant room had to be made.
King broke the news that Dr. Contessa Metcalfe and Anila Sajja (pictured above) will not be back. With one decision being optional and the other..not. Allegedly.
Interestingly, Metcalfe (who joined the show in 2017 and appeared for five seasons) confirmed her exit to B. Scott and revealed that she opted to depart to explore other passions. She appeared to also confirm Parks’ casting by saying that she will be a “fun addition.”
As for Sajja (who appeared for two seasons), she was reportedly let go.
Suffice it to say, ‘Married To Medicine’ season 10 looks like it will be a must-watch for a multitude of reasons.
