Pete Wicks has been declared love by his famous pal as they joined forces to support a mental health campaign.
Earlier this month, Pete announced that he will be backing ITV Lorraine's new mental health initiative, March4March, which then made him the second celebrity to join the campaign after the late Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy announced her support on a previous programme.
Pete, who has been very open about his own struggles with his mental health in the past, opened up about why he wanted to get involved with the campaign: "For me, I love nature and I love getting out, and this is the perfect time to be doing it.
"The sun is shining, there’s a little bit of Spring and it makes me feel better… It’s a perfect opportunity to reflect, have a little bit of time to yourself, because I think it’s really important, as we all live such busy lives, to take a bit of time to reflect on where you’re at and where your head is at."
It was then on Thursday (March 20) that Pete returned to the show in a pre-recorded VT and this time his was joined by his reality star and radio host pal, Vicky Pattison.
The pair were seen heading out for a walk in the pre-spring sunshine as Pete opened up about having friends who are there through the 'ups and downs' as he admitted his onw 'issues'.
"Over the years there's been all sorts of issues that I've had, you know, when it comes to alcohol, loss, grief... I've dealt with it probably in a negative way. It's been detrimental to my own well-being because I've not known how to get through that sort of stuff."
He went on: "Vicky and I have been friends for well over a decade now and we've both been through an awful lot of ups and downs and it's amazing to share the ups with someone but actually having someone there through those down periods is so important."
Alongside the post shared on Lorraine's Instagram page, the caption read: "All this month we’ve been encouraging the country to pledge an extra 10,000 steps a week and get out into the great outdoors to help improve our mental health. Pete Wicks and his best friend Vicky Pattison have put on their best walking shoes and done just that."
Vicky was among those to respond to the post, with the former Geordie Short star and I'm A Celebrity winner commenting: "I love you @p_wicks01 but why the f**k didn't you tell me that my hat looked like a teas cosy on my head [crying laughing emoji]."
Fans, meanwhile, were loving the pair together. @samcornellbobby said: "Two lovely people what a good friendship." @vickymarie1109 commented: "I love you and petes friendship, it's so honest and down to earth. Love you both."
