EAMONN Holmes had a lucky escape after a 'near miss' saw him rushed to hospital.
The TV presenter, 65, was taken by ambulance after a nasty fall in the bathroom.
A source told The Sun: "Eamonn slipped in the bathroom last week and took a bad tumble.
"He was taken to hospital in a lot of pain and went through a series of tests.
"Fortunately, he didn't suffer any broken bones and is now on the mend.
"He was very lucky."
Eamonn, who suffers with mobility issues, shared a snap of him in the back of the rapid response vehicle having been stretchered in.
He told fans: "Gosh it hurts."
Eamonn then sparked concern as he admitted: "Life’s not easy these days".
The 65-year-old has struggled to walk for the last few years as he battles intense back pain.
He is often seen out in a wheelchair or on crutches.
His chronic condition began unexpectedly in 2021 and soon he was unable to walk without a stick to help him.

The pain was caused by a dislocated pelvis, which later resulted in him sustaining three slipped disks.
While recovering from surgery, he fell down the stairs at his home in Weybridge and broke his shoulder.
A further spine and neck procedure in 2023 did little to alleviate Eamonn's pain.
He has admitted the pain has led to him having countless "sleepless nights" and caused rows with his estranged wife Ruth Langsford over how much medication he relies on taking.
Eamonn and Ruth announced their split in May last year having started dating in 1991.
