Strictly Come Dancing fans are speculating that Zara Tindall might be due for a potential appearance on the BBC show after her husband Mike made a surprising post on social media. The former England rugby player took to Instagram with a photo of Strictly judge and professional dancer Anton Du Beke dancing with Zara, the daughter of Princess Anne.
He captioned the image: "I always said she would be great on Strictly!" and tagged the BBC show’s official Instagram account. The post quickly attracted attention from followers, and several of them expressed enthusiasm at the idea of Zara joining the show. One person begged: "Please make this happen."
Meanwhile, another gushed: "I would LOVE to see Zara on Strictly." A third added: "This would be amazing if Zara did compete in Strictly."
There has been no official comment from Zara, Mike, or the BBC regarding her involvement in the upcoming series. However, the Instagram post did fuel rumours that she could join the show in the future.
Anton Du Beke himself commented on the post, promising: "I’ll come out of retirement!" Zara Tindall, 44, is already an accomplished equestrian and Olympian, after winning a silver medal at the London 2012 Games as part of the British eventing team.
She is the eldest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and the niece of King Charles III. Zara married Mike Tindall in 2011, and the pair have three children: Mia, Lena, and Lucas.
Zara recently shared stories from their relationship with the Mirror, explaining that they first met during the 2003 Rugby World Cup. She added: "It was when we were young enough to run away from life. I went out for an all day lunch with some girlfriends. We went around the harbour and they were all very drunk and were like ‘England are staying in that hotel’.
