Big Brother viewers have been left scratching their heads as they seemed to be confused by the fact that Nathan was once a butler for the Royals
Fans of Big Brother have been left unsure about housemate Nathan and whether he was in fact a butler for King Charles.
During Monday night's visit to the famous ITV house, Nathan was questioned by his fellow housemates about his previous role. Trying to discover more, Nathan's co-stars wanted to find out what his job entailed.
As Emma asked him whether he had seen the King in bed and whether he was tasked with delivering things to him on a tray, Nathan kept his lips sealed, but he did disclose that the King would be "off before I go in".
But as the housemates tried their best to dig deeper, fans at home weren't convinced Nathan worked for the Royals at all. Heading to X one viewer said: "Fully believe that Nathan is lying about his butler job."
Another fumed: "Watching Nathan lie about being King Charles' butler is so cringe. Please get rid of him omg." A third echoed: "Fully convinced Nathan is making s**tup about being Charles' butler."
Meanwhile, another added: "Has anyone actually confirmed that Nathan was in fact Charles’ butler? For some reason, I don’t buy it."
But some fans were quick to back Nathan up, as one viewer responded to a doubtful tweet saying: "And he definitely was a butler!"
Despite the confusion, while entering the Big Brother house, Nathan explained that he was once a butler to King Charles. At the age of 17, Nathan worked at Dumfries House estate in Ayrshire, which was the Scottish home of the then Prince Charles.
Speaking to the Daily Record, he said: "I've already had the honour of serving at a couple of royal dinners during His Royal Highness's latest visits to Dumfries House.
"I very much enjoy being a butler here and there's always something very different to deal with. I love meeting people and it's great to talk to the visitors who come to the house."
Previously discussing his butler role while in the Big Brother house, he told his housemates: "He hosts a lot of different dinners with guests. The president of Ireland was there, Alan Titchmarsh and I would look after him and if Camilla was there as well."
Nathan's mum also previously confirmed that her 24-year-old son did the role for roughly a year before he moved on.
Big Brother airs Sundays-Fridays at 9pm on ITV2.
