Austen Kroll, Madison LeCroy & More Sound Off on Shep Rose’s “Cringy” Text to Sienna tram

Shep Rose just wanted to express his feelings and be honest on the latest episode of Southern Charm. Unfortunately for him, not everyone was impressed with how he chose to do it.

Shep's long text to then-girlfriend Sienna Evans about their relationship during the cast trip to the Bahamas had Austen Kroll and Craig Conover laughing and admitting he shouldn't have sent it. In a new episode of the Southern Charm After Show, they had more to say — and the rest of the cast also chimed in to reveal what they really thought about that "perfect little freckled lips" message.

"It's very long," commented Rodrigo Reyes, "And there's all this s---."

"If there's one thing you don't do," Taylor Ann Green added, "It's send a long text!"

Craig, meanwhile, tried to describe it with a hand motion.

"They were," he said, miming scrolling on a phone screen, "Like, full swipes."

"I would never read a text that long!" laughed Madison LeCroy.

Rodrigo did do his best to compliment the writing, describing Shep as "a wordsmith" — but he had to admit it was "kind of cringy."

Newcomer Molly O'Connell had a more understanding take, though. She thought that "Shep has a way with words," adding, "It's not often that someone has a bigger vocabulary than I do. Well, that sounds s---y. I'm sure there are plenty of people who have bigger vocabularies than I do. But not people that I meet in Charleston, that I'm friends with! It was poetic. It was beautiful, I thought."

Salley Carson agreed.

"If somebody texted me that, and I was into him," she stressed, "I'd be like, let's have babies today."

Any final notes from Shep's editors?

Madison put it bluntly: "Make it less thirsty. Less like a simp."

"Do I think that it was cringy? Yes. But!" Austen said, "I respect the honesty that he had with it. Don't listen to anything other than your heart."

Salley agreed, concluding, "He does deserve to be loved by someone the way she was loved by him."

What did Shep Rose's text to Sienna Evans say?

"Good morning, Sienna. Listen, I love seeing you, and no one else makes me feel the way you do. No one. But I'm not going to try to convince someone that they love me for three days, especially when I know that deep down, they do. Here's hoping that you understand my feelings and exalt them. I just don't feel this way almost ever. I know that you agree, and feel a lot of what I do, because I've heard it from your perfect little freckled lips. And those around us can say and think what they will, but we will have the last laugh. And we'll have love, laughter, and literally everything that matters. OK. My TED talk is over."

Shep Rose defends his "cringy" text to Sienna

"I like to be clear and concise, and I like to pour my soul out, if I can," Shep explained during the Southern Charm After Show, "Vulnerability is absolutely essential to being a man in full."
