With filming about to commence on Season 10 of Real Housewives of Potomac, one of the stars will not be returning.
This reality star has been a main cast member since Season 6, though she announced on Instagram Monday that she will not only be leaving the show, but leaving the Beltway as well.
Her announcement revealed that she and her family will be relocating to Atlanta, though she did not indicate that she will join the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Season 9 wrapped up last month with a three-part reunion special that revealed embattled star Karen Huger was entering a rehab program following her DUI conviction.
Bravo has yet to announce any new cast members, with Huger sentenced to two years in jail for her fourth DUI offense.
Who is this mystery Housewife? It's none other than Mia Thornton, who announced her franchise exit Monday on Instagram.
'With every new season comes a new beginning and I have some news to share. My family and I have made the decision to relocate to Atlanta, and with that, I will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Potomac next season,' she said.
'The past four seasons have been an unforgettable journey one filled with growth, lessons, and so many incredible memories,' she added.
'I want to thank Truly Original, Bravo, NBCUniversal, and Andy Cohen for believing in me and giving me the space to share my story,' Mia continued.
She also thanked her fellow castmates, 'for the laughs, the lessons, and the unforgettable moments.'
'And to the amazing fans, your love and support has meant everything to me. I’ll always carry that with me,' she stated.
'This next chapter is already full of exciting opportunities, and I can’t wait to take you all along for the ride. Big things are coming…' she teased.
'I don’t just make headlines — I make History. Atlanta, brace yourself. The empire has expanded,' she concluded.
Thornton was last seen on the Season 9 reunion when she stormed out after Gizelle Bryant called her a bad mother.
Bryant bashed Thornton for subjecting her seven-year-old daughter Julianna to a DNA test to prove whether she was fathered by boyfriend Incognito a.k.a. Inc or her estranged husband Gordon Thornton.
'And I stand by that. No woman, no mother, would put their child on a platform to discuss their paternity. No mother would do that. No mother!" Bryant said of Thornton's actions.
Thornton stormed off the stage after Bryant brought up her children, screaming, 'Not my kids!' in what will seemingly be her last appearance on the Bravo franchise.
'I should have never put myself in the position to have anybody question my motherhood,' Mia told a producer before changing and leaving the reunion.
