The Real Housewives of Miami's Alexia Nepola and Todd Nepola are officially divorced almost one year after filing, but it turns out they have no plans to separate.
"After thoughtful reflection, Todd and I have reached an amicable divorce settlement. While our marriage has legally ended, our relationship has not," Alexia told PEOPLE on March 25. "We continue to love and support each other as we navigate this next chapter. We appreciate the understanding, love, and support from our family, friends, and fans."
Per the same report, Alexia and Todd reached a marital settlement agreement on March 17, and while they signed the settlement "freely and voluntarily with the assistance and advice of counsel," they wish for it "to remain confidential and not have [it] filed with the Court."
The news comes after Todd filed for divorce in April 2024, claiming at the time that his and Alexia's marriage was "irretrievably broken."
When did Alexia Nepola and Todd get back together?
It's not exactly known when Alexia and Todd reconciled following his decision to file for divorce, but in November 2024 at Bravo Fan Fest in Miami, Alexia stated the following during a panel: "I am not dating anyone. I'm still married. I'm wearing my ring."
What's more, she told PEOPLE, "Todd and I are trying to figure things out," she said. "We're still working on getting better and getting stronger and figuring it out because we really do love each other a lot."
Why did Todd Nepola file for divorce from Alexia?
Alexia shed new light on her and Todd's relationship issues during a June 2024 podcast episode of Two Ts in a Pod, where she admitted that their divorce wasn't about the lack of "love" but instead about the challenges they faced. "For me, [the marriage] was working," she explained. "I just thought that there were typical fights and problems that every couple has. But it's not about how much you fight or how hard you fight, it's being able to work through those fights and find resolution. And I think that's where we have our biggest challenge."
How Alexia Nepola reacted to Todd filing for divorce
Alexia, who's a mom to sons Frankie and Peter Rosello, took to her Instagram Story after Todd's divorce filing was made public. "I am shocked and heartbroken that Todd has chosen to dissolve our marriage," she wrote at the time. "I will take comfort in the fact that my friends and family will be by my side supporting me during this difficult time. I'm praying for better times ahead."
Alexia Nepola reveals how her sons felt about her and Todd's separation
Alexia appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Nov. 24 and revealed how sons Frankie and Peter have felt about her and Todd's split. "It's been tough for Frankie because Frankie is all about love," Alexia said of her youngest son.
"It's been tough for the both of them...I've seen Frankie more, his emotions," she added. "Peter holds everything in and he just wants me to be happy and he's been there with me and supportive. But it's been tough for all of us."
