Yasmin Shocks Fans by Revealing Her Tiny Follower Count Before Love Island trucc

Yasmin Pettet has had one of the biggest journeys out of any Islander from Love Island 2025, arriving as a controversial bombshell who many said whilst she was literally in earshot that they weren’t “threatened” by her. Ben literally called her the most irrelevant girl in the villa and said the nobody wants her. Yasmin always had the last laugh, though – and got herself to the final with the gorgeous and lovely Jamie and became an instant fan fave as an integral part of the big three with Toni and Shakira. A lot of people the show casts on Love Island fit the same pseudo influencer type and already join the show with a big following, but despite Yasmin becoming one of the most popular Islanders of Love Island 2025 she has now revealed what her Instagram was like before the show and it’s the least amount of followers I’ve ever seen. I’m gagged, honestly.

Yasmin has always been an unconventional Islander

Yasmin is iconic because she’s honestly just not a very conventional Islander stereotype. My mate once described her as “a horny Morticia Addams” which I found both iconic and apt, because Yasmin turned heads with her bluntness, her striking all black severe look and her now legendary posture.

Her Instagram is just not very typical Islander girly either, every single outfit is all black or very muted dark reds and browns. It’s not what you’re used to seeing when you look down an Islander’s feed.

Yasmin shared how few Instagram followers she had before Love Island 2025

Yasmin has been quiet on Instagram as she copes with the passing of her beloved cat Miaow Miaow, but she jumped on to say she’s gobsmacked at how much things have changed. Before she was cast on Love Island, she only had 80 followers. Literally so mind boggling  to think how much stuff has changed for her – she now has 546,000.

Yasmin said “I found this screenshot right before Love Island, crazy how things change. I promise I will be back on socials at some point I’m just going easy on myself dealing with everything at the moment.

So fair.
