Ever since Survivor: One World aired, it has been remembered as one of the worst seasons in the show’s history. As a result, the One World twist, which involved both of the starting tribes living on the same beach while still competing against each other, has never returned. However, the reason why Survivor: One World is such a bad season had nothing to do with the twist. Instead, that season was ruined because it featured a cast with a lot of boring or outright awful players. In fact, the One World twist actually resulted in some of the season’s most amazing moments. When a Survivor player gets eliminated, they are taken to Ponderosa which is essentially a hotel. The players who make it to the jury stay at Ponderosa until after they fly home following the final tribal council. For many years, videos were produced and released showing the highlights of the jury member’s experiences at Ponderosa. That allowed loyal fans to see those players see things like the jury members’ first meals, their reactions to their weight loss, and any arguments that may take place. Ever since Survivor 42, the show has stopped releasing those Ponderosa videos. That is a crying shame since the Ponderosa videos allowed fans to care more about the show, about the jury members, and about who would win.

During the 11th season of American Ninja Warrior, Drew Drechsel won the main cash prize. Drechsel is one of only three ANW competitors to win the money with Vance Walker and Isaac Caldiero being the other two. After Drechsel pulled off that incredible athletic feat, his reputation was tarnished forever when he was arrested on extremely disturbing charges. Drechsel has been in prison ever since and he has pleaded guilty to charges that will almost certainly make sure that won’t change for years.
