Austen Kroll is settling down with his girlfriend, Audrey Platt.

Southern Charm fans have witnessed Austen go through a roller coaster of relationships, but he said that “long talks” with his therapist helped him realize that “commitment is exactly what I was ready for upon meeting the right person.”

“And I met the right person and couldn't ignore it, to be honest,” he told E! News in 2024.

The two crossed paths while Austen was having dinner in his hometown of Charlotte, N.C., where Audrey is based. She and her group of girlfriends sat near the reality TV star, and after hitting it off that night, he later took her to a baseball game in the city. They officially started dating in December 2023 and are in a long-distance relationship, as Austen lives in Charleston, S.C.

Audrey made her debut on Austen’s Instagram in May 2024, when the Trop Hop founder shared photos from a Carolina Hurricanes game. They otherwise kept a low profile until her Southern Charm introduction during the season 10 premiere in December 2024.

She is from North Carolina

Audrey is from Cary, N.C., a suburb of Raleigh.

She graduated magna cum laude from East Carolina University in 2020, where she received a bachelor of science in business administration and was a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority.

According to her LinkedIn profile, she works as an account executive at a staffing and recruiting company.

She and Austen started dating in late 2023

Austen and Audrey's relationship began in December 2023.

The pair met when Austen was visiting his hometown of Charlotte, N.C., where Audrey now lives. They ended up having dinner at the same place with their respective friends.

While Austen tried to be mindful not to interrupt Audrey and her group, he ran into one of her friends by the bathroom, who said he should talk to Audrey.

“I was like, 'No, it's awkward now because you're telling me to,' " he recalled to The Daily Dish in 2024. "Anyways, long story short, I took her to a baseball game in Charlotte and that is how we met."

Despite his past relationship reservations, in Southern Charm’s season 10 premiere, Austen revealed that he was the one who brought up defining the relationship.

As they were hitting the one-year mark of their relationship, Austen told The Daily Dish that “we are just focusing on enjoying each other.”

They went Instagram official in 2024

In February 2024, Audrey made a brief appearance in an Instagram video Austen posted highlighting a group trip to Mexico.

However, her official debut on his Instagram grid happened in May when he shared photos from a Carolina Hurricanes match.

Though Austen has a large following on the social media platform, Audrey keeps her Instagram account private.

The couple kept a low profile until Austen introduced Audrey as his girlfriend in Southern Charm’s season 10 premiere, which aired in December 2024.

"Audrey's about as 'go-with-the-flow' as it gets," Austen said in a confessional on the Bravo show. "I really think it comes from me being an open and transparent person to her. Shocker that that's what it takes to make a relationship work, but it's been, like, revelatory."

Speaking to E! News about bringing Audrey into his reality TV world, Austen shared that they discussed the matter before filming began, and she was open to it.

"I was like, 'Is this something that you wanna do? I mean, I totally understand if you're like, this world is not for me,' " he recounted to the outlet. "And she was like, 'It's important to you, so I'd be willing to dip in my toes and do things with you.' "

Austen added, "I just wanted her to feel as comfortable as possible."

While Audrey is not a regular cast member, she has appeared in additional episodes, including when she met Austen's parents.

She and Austen are in a long-distance relationship

During Southern Charm's season 10 premiere, Austen shared that Audrey lives in Charlotte.

Since Austen is based in Charleston, the two maintain a long-distance relationship.

The couple tries to see each other every week and aren't focused on when or if Audrey will move to Charleston. He told The Daily Dish in 2024 that they hadn’t “really even breached that subject,” but they hopefully will be at the two-year mark when her lease is up.

“At the moment, it is just working the way that it should work,” he explained. “She's gonna live in Charlotte for another year. And that's completely fine because there's no rush to me.”

She met Austen’s parents

Austen waited four months before introducing Audrey to his parents.

"A big word that I've been working on with my therapist is 'intentionality,' or the act of being '[intentional],' " the Pillows & Beer podcast co-host said during a season 10 confessional.

He continued, "And I have intentionally waited four months to bring home Audrey because I don't want to do this to my parents — introduce them to a girl that I might not be that serious about and then they're like, 'Aw, I liked her.' "

During episode 6, the pair were filmed in the car en route to Austen’s parents’ house, and he asked his girlfriend if she was “nervous at all.” Audrey replied, "Yeah, it's just nerve-racking."

All went well when the Krolls met Audrey — they even talked about the potential of future grandchildren. Audrey told her boyfriend’s parents that Austen wanted four children, which his mom said was “good!”

“I just want a big family,” Audrey said in agreement.
