Marnie was hanging metres up in the air in a harness when she began shouting that she "couldn't breathe".

The mum-of-two was competing against Towie star Bobby Norris at the time, after being challenged with running down a vertical wall as fast as they could.

But as she started to cry, Marnie doubled over, clutched her chest and shouted that she was going to be sick.

She then yelled: "I can't breathe! I can't breathe! I'm going to have to VW [voluntarily withdraw] - it's really bad!"

DS Chris Oliver shouted back: "You're not going anywhere!"

Eventually, Marnie managed to make it to the bottom but she was beaten by Bobby - who is the most terrified celebrity on the course.

She told SAS: Who Dares Wins Chief Instructor Mark 'Billy' Billingham: "I literally thought I was going to die."

But Billingham simply berated Marnie and branded her a "gobs***e".

"You wouldn't be able to shout and gob off if you couldn't breathe," he shouted in her face.

"You're going to be amphibious, as I'm going to throw you in the water.

"You're attitude stinks, do you get it? Everything you have to do, you have to ruin.

"F***ing buck your ideas up, gobs***e."

Marnie was seen crying as the celebrities returned to base camp in a convoy of 4x4s.

"I feel so emotional, it's just so f***ing hard," she sobbed, while eating a sandwich.

Once back at camp, Marnie again threatened to walk while talking to fellow SAS stars Rachel Johnson and Georgia Harrison.

She told them: "I'm leaving, I'm in so much pain. I've had enough I'm not getting anything from it.

"It's making me feel worse than when I came in. I can't spend another night here. I can't."

Many celebrities have attempted the infamous Channel 4 quasi military training course - but only a select few have successfully passed.

In the dead of night, Marnie was called in to see Billingham and DS Oliver with a black sack over her head.

She told the pair: "I feel like I've misunderstood what this is.

"I thought I'd come here to gain something I'm lacking. I thought it would build me up and make me feel good. Maybe it's not the best place for what I've wanted."

When questioned further, Marnie became tearful again and told them about the death of her dad, who suffered with drink and drug addictions.

"I feel I get really bad anxiety and I've had it for six years," Marnie admitted.

"My dad died out the blue. I feel really fragile at the minute to talk about it.

"It set off a lot of anxiety and heath anxiety. I nearly died from childbirth and was really poorly for two years and couldn't look after my baby."

Billingham and Oliver were sympathetic towards Marnie and convinced her to continue on the course.

However, as she left, Mark asked how old she was.
