In a preview clip for Season 16, Episode 1 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta — set to ai Sunday, March 9 — Shamea holds an over-the-top celebration for her birthday at her massive Atlanta home. To commemorate the occasion, Shamea's husband, Gerald Mwangi, gifts her with a very special birthday present.
When Shamea comes out of the house, a large black tarp is placed over what everyone at the party presumed to be a vehicle of some sort. When Shamea takes off the tarp, she encounters her incredible birthday gift: a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, valued at $430,000.
Shamea, who is clearly overjoyed, hugs her husband as she jumps up and down.
The RHOA women are just as impressed with the incredible gift.
"Oh my god...who doesn't want a Cullinan Rolls-Royce?" Drew Sidora exclaims in a confessional as Cynthia Bailey quips, "If I had these kind of birthday presents I [would have] tried to make my marriages work."

In 2022, Shamea shared a tribute to her longtime love around the time of their wedding anniversary via Instagram, writing, "I love you Gerald Mwangi! Always have and always will. Here’s to the rest of our lives." Additionaly, in 2024, the couple marked 10 years together. "I met my husband 10 years ago on 10/10/2014... You really can find love in the club. Cheers to 10 years," Shamea captioned the sweet post to honor their love.

Before entering the music and reality TV world, Shamea studied Broadcast Journalism at Morris Brown College and earned a dual degree in Psychology and Sociology from Georgia State University.
Now, Shamea works in the entertainment industry, with work as an actor, radio personality, singer, dancer, and host. She was also a member of the Atlanta Hawks cheerleading squad from 2003 to 2014 and cheered for the Atlanta Falcons for five seasons.
