"Dancing With the Stars” is heading into Season 34! The show’s immense popularity and longevity make it a fantastic career opportunity for the professional dancers who work tirelessly to deliver incredible performances every week and improve the skills of their celebrity partner (all in the hopes of taking home the prestigious Mirrorball Trophy).
Britt Stewart has been one of the pros, having joined the show in Season 23. Her work continues to take her away from home, and despite being passionate about what she does, Stewart recently shared how having an intense schedule is not always easy.
Stewart posted an emotional video of herself and her fiancé, Daniel Durant, on Instagram. In the clip, the pair can be seen embracing, and later Durant steps into a car and drives away. The text overlay discussed the couple’s difficulties by being away from each other, as they have to leave each other for extended periods to focus on their careers.
“This year has been crazy and filled with so many blessings. My work has taken me away from home for most of the year so far. If you know me, you know this is normal!” the text overlay on Stewart’s video reads. “I arrived home last night and sent Daniel off this morning to start filming a new project for the next 3 months. This morning’s ‘see you soon’ was a little bit harder than most.”
The dancer shared no update on the work taking her away from home or the project Durant was filming, but she expressed her gratitude at being able to do what they love. “We both feel so grateful that we love what we do for work and that it has provided abundance and a life we both love. Without our jobs, we would have never met,” she wrote. Stewart concludes her message with a tribute to Durant and their love, praising him for making “life easy” and saying she is “grateful” for him.
Stewart’s message is relatable to some of her fans, who must leave their loved ones behind to focus on their own work. Many also feel inspired by the love she shares with Durant. “Crying,” a comment reads. “It’s like you want me to cry,” another fan wrote.
Other reactions include, “You two are an inspiration to us all! Even those of us who have been married 25 years. Your love reminds us what it’s all about!” and “Our hearts break when you two have to be away from each other too.” They have a lot of people rooting for them!
The couple first sparked relationship rumors after being partnered on DWTS Season 31. They got engaged in December 2023. Stewart has previously discussed their relationship. “Life with Daniel is the most enjoyable thing. I know that he would say the same thing. We talk about it all the time,” Stewart told Us Weekly. “Life together, growing together, learning about each other and the life that we wanna create is the most important and special thing for us.”
