There are 25 games remaining in the regular season and the Caps continued to protect home ice as they're 11-0-5 in their past 16 home games. Spencer Carbery added the following:

"I thought (that was) as good as we've played all season from start to finish. We were so dialed in from puck drop to the end of that game -- the bench, not only what guys were vocalizing on the bench, but what they were going and doing every shift after shift after shift against as good a team as there is in the League on a back to back."

Next up for the Caps is a home game on Tuesday night against the Calgary Flames. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. and you can catch the game on Monumental Sports Network as well as 106.7 The Fan and Caps Radio 24/7.
