Throughout the years, the Washington Capitals have presented jerseys to celebrities like Jon Bon Jovi, Bruno Mars, Brad Pitt, Aly Raisman, and NASCAR Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon.
Now, legendary motocross and racing superstar, Travis Pastrana, has joined that important hockey pantheon.
Wednesday, the Capitals posted photos and video of Pastrana at MedStar Capitals Iceplex after the 11-time X Games gold medalist met several members of the team and cheesed with his new hockey sweater.
Carbery presented Pastrana a customized number 199 jersey, the number the Nitro Circus co-founder used throughout his career.
“My name’s on the back? That’s what I’m talking about,” Pastrana said genuinely excited. “I appreciate you guys!”
As he held up the jersey, he let out a, “Dude. Hell yeah!”
Pastrana met with Dylan Strome and Brandon Duhaime during his visit and was given a tour of the facility where he got to go inside the team’s locker room and workout area.
Capitals star Tom Wilson commented on the Capitals’ Instagram post highlighting Pastrana’s visit and called him the GOAT.
Pastrana, an Annapolis, Maryland native, has previously attended Capitals games and was most recently at Capital One Arena for the team’s 9-2 blowout over the Philadelphia Flyers on April 12, 2022. Pastrana was rocking an Alex Ovechkin home jersey when he was introduced to the Capital One Arena crowd.
