Towie’s Saffron Lempriere addresses ‘feud’ with Gemma Collins and opens up about their former friendship ngocc

TOWIE's Saffron Lempriere has opened up briefly on the end of her friendship with Gemma Collins.

At one point, the pair were best friends and inseparable, but a fallout over a man sparked the beginning of the end of their friendship.

Now, it's been four years since the star have seen eye-to-eye, with no sign of things being fixed anytime soon.

Today, when Saffron launched a Q+A on Instagram, she felt forced to address what happened after being inundated with messages.

Saying she received "about 20 messages" about her and Gemma – also known as The GC – she spoke out about the situation with the diva.

"Funny enough I was sent this the other day," said Saffron.

"I was never friends with the GC, I was best friends with Gemma. We was like sisters and we made memories that last a life time.

"Life happens, things change and people drift but that's it."

The new comment comes a few months after the pair nearly had a spat in the middle of a pub.

According to onlookers, Saffron approached Gemma during the run-in to chat, but Gemma wasn't interested.

This prompted Saffron to get frustrated and loud to the bemusement of those around them.

A source said: "Gemma looked mortified as, while she’s had her share of bust ups during her time on reality telly, she was just out for some drinks with friends and the last thing she wanted was to cause a scene.

"It’s safe to say, however, that Saffron and Gemma won’t be making up anytime soon. The friendship is irreparable."

Saffron and Gemma had been friends for over eight years before the feud, with Saffron appearing on Gemma's show Diva Espana before joining Towie in 2018.

It was believed the pair had an argument over their thoughts on animals, but Saffron later revealed cracks began to show over a guy.

Saffron unknowingly went on a date with one of Gemma's exes, sparking an argument they never recovered from.

She exclusively revealed: "My ex, I was with him for two years. I met him in Spain and it was a bit of a whirlwind.

"But before I knew her, when Gemma was 21, she went on three dates with him, twelve years before. I didn't know!

"I told her, 'I've started seeing someone'. I think maybe she always had a bit of a thing for him. She was like: ‘Nah, I am not having it'."

"We’ve never spoken since," Saffron added, revealing there was only "one phone call" four months after the initial fall out, but that Gemma has "never reached out" since then.
