The Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs was quick to apologise while on The One Show after her "honest" admission about the hit show.
Amy Childs was one of the original cast members from The Only Way Is Essex who was in the very first episode when it hit our screens back in 2010.
Now reaching its 15th anniversary this October, Amy sat down on The One Show to reflect on her time as the "Ken Barlow" of TOWIE, as she labelled herself.
Appearing on TOWIE at just 19-years-old, Amy was convinced she'd go back to work as a beautician after the first episode aired. With her having appointments booked afterwards, Amy recalled getting a call from her boss.
She said: "When the first episode came on, she said to me, you're not coming back, because it was just everywhere. I had Simon Cowell message me saying he loved it, I had Paris Hilton message me... I think it was because it hadn't been done before, that's why it works so well."

Amy continued: "People came up to me on the street and they were like, 'Oh, you're such an amazing actress, how do you do it?', and I'm not an actress. This is me. I just put me on the show. Obviously, it was difficult at times but I love the show."
Presenter Clara Amfo then asked Amy about some of her most popular catchphrases from TOWIE. She reeled off: "Reem, well jel, no carbs before Marbs, but there was one cultural phenomenon Amy that really couldn't have happened without you, and it involves, you know, decorating shall we say the bikini area."
Amy laughed as she replied: "The V**azzle? I remember because that was on the first show and everyone was like 'wow'. I had people get them out to me by the way" before apologising to Alex and Clara, as well as actress Katherine Kelly as they burst out laughing.
She continued: "It was just a really surreal time, I've got to be honest with you... Honestly, it's hard sometimes because we do put our life completely on the show. So, yeah, I love it."
Clara then mentioned that Amy has labelled herself the Ken Barlow of TOWIE, to which the star responded: "I've been there from day one! I'm gonna stay there until the end. That is so sad isn't it?... I love being on there.
"But yeah, I do feel old. I felt one of the oldest on the show now, I started when I was 19."
