Tom Schwartz doesn't want the Summer House crew to take the best days of their lives for granted.
As part two of his Hamptons visit came to an end during Season 9, Episode 12, Schwartz stopped by Paige DeSorbo and Ciara Miller's room to thank them for allowing him to step into their "happy little world" for the weekend. He also left a parting gift: some Vanderpump Rules-coded words of wisdom.
"You've gotta cherish this. Cherish it," he told the duo, as they lounged in bed. "I used to have a happy family in L.A., and now everyone hates each other. We all hate each other. You've gotta cherish this, OK? It's very sacred."
When Paige insisted that she and Ciara are "gonna love each other forever, no matter what," Tom replied, "That's what I used to say! Now we're in complete disarray."
Lightening the mood, Paige seemingly referenced Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval's infamous scandal, joking, "As long as Amanda [Batula] doesn't cheat on Kyle [Cooke], I think we can get through anything."
Tom Schwartz revealed the "void" in his life
Earlier on the April 30 episode, Schwartz opened up to Kyle about how "nice" it was to "feel like a whole human for the first time in a few years" during Snoozefest.
"I'm very fulfilled, but there is a void in my life, and that's… not having kids," he shared, after previously revealing that he and ex-wife Katie Maloney had planned on starting a family together prior to their 2022 divorce. "I do want a family eventually, but yeah…"
He and Kyle both predicted that they are going to be "great dads" in the future, even if they're "really old" when it happens, as the latter put it.
"Dude, wait, by the time they're 20, we're gonna be 60," Schwartz said, further imagining, "We're gonna snore, we're gonna pass out in the La-Z-boy. Oh my god. We're gonna be in bed by 6:30."
What Tom Schwartz is up to now
Despite his great time out east in the "bougie and fabulous" Hamptons, Schwartz knew it was "time to go home" — as he expressed in a made-up song, no less — to "attend to business" and get back to his and Katie's dogs, Gordo and Butter.
Currently single following his breakup with Sophia Skoro, he closed Schwartz & Sandy's at the end of 2024, though his and Sandoval’s Tom Tom, is "still popping" in West Hollywood. In April 2025, Schwartz also launched his new Detox/Retox podcast, with Katie appearing as his first guest.
Where Tom Schwartz stands with his former VPR castmates today
Following the news that Vanderpump Rules Season 12 will feature an all-new cast of SURvers working under boss Lisa Vanderpump, Schwartz previously revealed where his friendships stand now.
"Everyone's taking a little time to just recalibrate [and] enjoy their peace and time apart," he explained to E! News in February 2025. "I think there's still a lot of love and respect amongst the castmates, but regardless of what happens in the future, I think we needed a little break."
Now all appearing on The Valley Season 2, Schwartz added that he sees Scheana Shay, Brock Davies, and new neighbor Jax Taylor often, and also texts Lala Kent "a lot."
As he added on a recent The Valley After Show, Schwartz is still friends with Sandoval, too, though financial drama with their businesses "almost destroyed" their bond at one point.
Finally, as evidenced by her appearance on his new podcast, Tom said he and Katie are also "on great terms" today.
