WBC Silver super lightweight champion ‘Thunder’ Dalton Smith stopped Walid Ouizza, scoring a pair of knockdowns stopping him at the end of the first round for the vacant EBU Super Lightweight title on Saturday night at the Nottingham Arena, Nottingham, in Nottinghamshire, England.

In the main event, Smith, 17-0 (13), defeated Ouizza, 19-3 (8) at the end of the first round of a scheduled 12 rounds. In the first-round final minute, Smith dropped Ouizza with a left on the chin for an 8-count from referee Jon Llona Fernandez. Upon rising, Ouizza was met with a barrage of punches from Smith, getting dropped again, causing referee Fernandez to wisely wave it off.

British, Commonwealth, and IBF EBU welterweight champion Harry ‘Horrible’ Scarff, 13-4 (3), was upset and stopped by Conah ‘Wolf’ Walker, 15-3-1 (6) at 1:23 of the eleventh of a scheduled 12 rounds.

Scarff switches to Southpaw after a minute in the first round, mainly landing jabs and taking the round. In the third round ending, Scarff tapped Walker on the chin, getting a warning from Referee Michael Alexander.

In the fourth round Walker’s right eye has some swelling underneath. In the sixth round, Walker never stops coming forward, going to Scarff’s body due to the jab constantly on his face.

The action was best in the eighth round’s final minute, with both letting it all hangout and Walker winning his first round. In the ninth and tenth rounds, Scarff regained control. In the eleventh round, Walker suddenly had Scarff in trouble with a right hook on the chin, having Scarff hurt. Walker followed with a flurry ending with a right, dropping Scarff for an 8-count from referee Alexander. Upon rising, Walker was all over Scarff, causing Referee Alexander to call a halt in a major upset.

IBF and WBO World super bantamweight champion Ellie Scotney, 10-0) unified, defeating IBO World bantamweight champ Mea ‘The Night’ Motu, 20-1 (8) over 10×2 rounds.

In the first round, Motu cut Scotney over the left eye as she kept coming forward. Scotney got the best of the action in the second and third rounds. Motu got the best of the action in the fourth round, taking her first round. In the sixth round Scotney lands lead rights on the chin in the final minute.

In the seventh round, Motu came back in a close round. Scotney outworked Motu from the eighth through the tenths, though Motu stayed in tough throughout. Referee John Latham. Scores 99-91 by all. Super featherweight southpaw Ibraheem ‘Spider’ Sulaimaan, 7-0 (4) defeated Reuquen Arce, 18-18-2 (7) over eight rounds. In the third round, both boxers have bloody noses. Arce keeps coming forward as southpaw Sulaimaan counters with jabs. In the sixth round, Arce comes in low and gets hit by Sulaimaan’s uppercuts on the chin. In the seventh round final seconds, Sulaimaan landed a combination, knocking Arce off balance. In the eighth and final rounds, in the final 40 seconds, Sulaimaan landed a lead left on the chin, getting the attention of Arce. Referee Kevin Parker. Scores 80-72 Flyweight Hamza Uddin, 4-0 (1) beat Misael Ezequiel Graffioli, 5-4) by an eight-round points decision.

 Cruiserweight Traie Duberry, 5-0 (2) defeated southpaw Camilo ‘Canturion’ Castagno, 4-9 (1), by a 6-round points decision. Referee Peter McCormack voted 59-53
