Kate Middelton could not go to the Eras Tour with her husband and their kids because she was minding Prince Louis in a situation unrelated to her cancer treatment, according to a royal expert.
The Princess of Wales was stunned in January when she was told she had an undiagnosed form of cancer after undergoing unconnected abdominal surgery at The London Clinic, around the same time King Charles III received his own news of cancer.
As a result, she withdrew from the public eye sparking a lot of conspiracy theories before March's emotional revelation of the news. Thankfully, she seems to be doing okay and is slowly returning to public duties although she couldn't head to see Taylor Swift for other reasons.
"I think [it was] sensible in the case of Louis because I think he's unpredictable at the moment, given his age," ex-Royal Correspondent, Charles Rae, said to The Sun. "I can understand why Catherine didn't go.
"She's still recovering and I think she's, rightly so, pacing herself at the moment. We saw her at Trooping the Colour, which was fantastic, she looked absolutely sensational. It was nice to see her back again.
"But I think it was the right decision that those two stayed away, I'm sure Louis didn't miss out too much."

Prince William took Prince George and Princess Charlotte to Wembley Stadium in late June to watch the American popstar ace perform on stage, but they even managed to go one better by snapping a selfie with Swift and her NFL boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
In previous decades, such a gesture would have been unthinkable and it would have been considered inappropriate for members of the Royal Family to do but the photo highlights not just the changing modern world, but the changing nature of Prince William's family.
"This is now what happens when people meet royalty," Rae added to The Sun. "Now, you don't just meet royalty you actually get selfies with them, so you've got this record of them.
"You've got people like one of the best singers in the world Taylor Swift taking selfies, that is a big accolade for her and shows her friendship to William."
