Teresa Giudice revealed on a recent episode of her new podcast that a Real Housewives of New Jersey season one moment featuring her and Jacqueline Laurita was staged by producers.

After opening up about her initial thoughts about Andy Cohen‘s feelings toward her and insisting the show is “actually real” on the debut episode of her new series, Teresa, 52, welcomed Jacqueline, 54, as she looked back on her cash-paying scene of the first season of the Bravo reality series.

“Jacqueline, remember the furniture store?” Teresa asked on the June 19 episode of Turning the Tables, via a clip shared by Bravo Snark Side on Instagram.

“Oh my God. They were handing you the money,” Jacqueline replied.

“Wait. Can we talk about that? We have to talk about that. I think that’s why the government — that’s why the government came after us,” Teresa admitted, giving a nod to her and ex-husband Joe Giudice‘s fraud drama, which resulted in them both spending time behind bars.

According to Jacqueline, the producers told Teresa, “I think it’d be cool if you paid in cash.” Then, after Teresa revealed that she had just $200 and Jacqueline had $300, Jacqueline said they gave Teresa “a bunch” more cash “so it looked like a lot.”

“I don’t think they did, Jacqueline, they just, it was 300 and my 200. That was it. It was $500 bills,” Teresa replied.

But Jacqueline insisted she remembered the producers giving Teresa money.

“They were like, ‘Just act like you’re paying [in cash].’ There was like 100s mixed in with other smaller bills,” she explained, attempting to trigger Teresa’s memory.

At that point, Teresa admitted that producers made it look as if she had more cash than she actually did.

“They showed how much my furniture was, like 140 thou — whatever it was, and then I’m hearing them giving out $100 bills and then they showed the calculator. It looked like I had all that money cash on me,” she recalled.

Meanwhile, on the June 10 episode of Turning the Tables, Teresa confessed to thinking Andy hated her during her early seasons on RHONJ.

“He hates me. He always asks me the hardest questions and I’m like, ‘He doesn’t ask anybody else these questions… I feel like he drills me,'” she shared, then adding that he was just “doing his job.”

“I didn’t get it at first and I didn’t understand it. It took a while for me to understand it. I was very sensitive about it,” she noted.

As for the realness of reality TV, Teresa insisted that despite her claims against producers, what fans see from her on the show is authentic.

“What you see on the show is actually real. What you see people put out there, like lies, obviously that’s not real. That’s up to you guys to decide from watching the show. And the history that you have with all of us to decide who’s being real and who’s not being real… I’m as real as they come,” she stated. “I don’t know how to be any other way. I only know how to be authentic.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
