Strictly dancers ‘left in dark’ over bullying probe and still ‘living in fear’ about being axed liennhi

THE Strictly Come Dancing professionals are said to have been left ‘entirely in the dark’ about the ongoing abuse and bullying probe.

The dancers, who are already training for the upcoming series, are still terrified they will be dragged into the drama and fear ‘who will go next’.

An insider told the Mail how ‘tough’ they are finding it, saying: “The revelations about their friends have been really tough on the other professionals and they've been left entirely in the dark about the whole scandal.

“They're continuing to go into training each day to get ready for the upcoming series but every day they fear another one of their colleagues will be gone. They're not sure who is going to be next.”

The Sun first told in July how dancers past and present are said to have discussed concerns among themselves that historic disagreements might be flagged to bosses.

We revealed at the time that the pros were worried that even simple spats could see them dragged before BBC execs.

The show, which has run for 20 series, has been hit by claims of abuse by two pro stars, Italians Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima.

Actress Amanda Abbington, 50, claimed she was mistreated by Giovanni, 33, which he has denied.

With just days before the series launch on Saturday, the £250,000 probe has now reviewed all evidence.

The results are expected to be revealed any day – and Sherlock star Amanda is braced for bad news, as she suspects bosses have sided with Gio.

A source said: “The BBC are hopeful they will finally be able to share the findings of the probe but considering there have been so many delays, nothing is set in stone.

“It is accepted the dossier won’t be released in full but instead a simple statement may be put out covering the conclusion

“Either way there are many interested parties and it could pave the way for more celebrities or crew members to speak up.

“It’s down to the wire, but the BBC hope the sparkle of the new series launch could sweep away the scandal.”
