Strictly Come Dancing star Neil Jones says he's 'excited to announce' another move away from ballroom liennhi

Neil Jones is on a bit of a roll with his announcements away from the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom as he shared a new update with fans.

The professional dancer was recently confirmed to be returned to the hit dance show later this year. The show's professional line-up for 2025 was confirmed by the BBC this month.

Those returning when the hit BBC One dance contest's 23rd series gets underway in the autumn alongside Neil are Nadiya Bychkova, Katya Jones, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, and Nikita Kuzmin. 

They're also joined by Dianne Buswell, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola, while two new pros will also be unveiled closer to the series launch.

Reacting to the news earlier this month, Neil wrote on Instagram: "I can’t believe it’s going to be a decade that I have been a pro on @bbcstrictly so to everyone that supports me and the show, thank you and I can’t wait to continue entertaining the nation.

"To the rest, come on it’s about time you switch from being a hater to actually enjoying life and give me some love but if not no worries because I will continue with the good vibes and energy and being part of the show I love the most plus spreading my love and knowledge of dance that I have collected over the past 4 decades and over 45 titles worldwide."

But before then, Neil is keeping busy. The 4-times World Latin Champion will be premiering his own show, Gingerland, at Litchfield Festival in July.

The synopsis for the event reads: "Gingerland – which Neil will devise, choreograph and star in – is a family-friendly, comedy tale where the world’s redheads (of which Neil is famously one!) triumph in an age-old battle between the good and the not-so-good.

"Expect a night of stunning dance, set to a specially-written score, where Neil and a cast of the world’s top professional dancers bring his latest vision to life…and only in Lichfield so don’t miss it!"

Confirming tickets going live, Neil shared on his Instagram Story: "I'm excited to announce that GINGERLAND THE SHOW is now on sale."

It comes after he took to social media to reveal that people will be able to learn to dance alongside him. On Instagram, Neil appeared in a video alongside world champion dancer Craig Shaw and said: "The news is out @prepdance on tour is coming to a city near you. 

"3 incredible dance workshops with two World champions @mr_craigshaw and @mr_njonesofficial and a special Strictly guest. You can book now online via the link in my Profile.

"Below are our first 4 dates and we are excited to have @kaiwidd joining us so book now because places are limited. 20th May Swansea. 10th June Dublin. 11th June Belfast. 14th June Glasgow."
