Layton Williams is set to take a trip down memory lane as part of BBC's Who Do You Think You Are?
The Strictly Come Dancing star heads off to Jamaica to find out more about his heritage during Monday's (May 12) instalment of the popular BBC series.
He discovers more about the resilience and strength of his Jamaican ancestors during the episode.
Along the way Layton finds an exciting musical thread running through his family’s past.
In an exclusive clip, the West End performer learns more about his great-great-grandmother and her sister, who worked as washerwomen in Jamaica.

He reflects on how that same work ethic and strength was passed down to him through his grandfather Clarence and how proud he is to carry on their legacy.
Layton says: "It's so funny because my my granddad Clarence was the first person to really drill like a hard work into me and I was young like but it really did stick with me."

After realising his grandad's determination came down through the generations of "strong" women, he said: "I love that. Strong women. Strong black women. Let's not forget.
"I know why I love my black women period" before cheekily adding "not like that".
Layton has become a household name after appearing in the West End musicals Billy Elliott and Everyone’s Talking About Jamie, starring in the BBC comedy Bad Education and making the final of Strictly in 2023.

The TV star and his three siblings were raised mostly by mum Michelle. His grandparents also helped out.
His father Prince, who was of Jamaican heritage, left the family home when he was small.
As part of the show, Layton looks into his mum's side of the family and finds out that even though he's from Bury, she has roots in London where he now lives.
His relatives include a six times great grandfather Edward Downing Snr, who was a piano tuner living in posh Golden Square.
