Wynne Evans has told fans the 'truth will win' as he took part in a social media question and answer session months after he was dropped from the Strictly Come Dancing tour.

Fans of the hit show will recall that the opera singer took part in the BBC One dance contest last year where he was paired with professional dancer Katya Jones.

The pair lost their place in the 2024 series following the show's annual Blackpool special, which once again fell just a few weeks before the grand final.

Wynne and Katya then signed up to the Strictly Come Dancing Live 2025 tour, which kicked off back in January and ended in early February, and saw a number of stars from Strictly's 20th-anniversary series performing for fans in arenas up and down the country.

However, Wynne's Strictly journey came to an abrupt end on January 28 in Liverpool, 11 days after the tour's opening night in Birmingham, after Wynne confirmed he was taking a step back from his work commitments.

After issuing an apology for a 'inappropriate' remark during the tour's launch, Wynne told how he'll 'take some time out' after he found himself in the midst of a new controversy. He said in a statement, which was posted to his Instagram Story: "I’ve agreed with the BBC that I’ll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly Live tour, as well as my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing."

Months on and on Tuesday (April 22), Wynne took to Instagram, where he was seen opening up a Q&A to his followers after asking them to "ask me anything".

He was flooded by questions about his wellbeing, with one of his followers asking if he is okay. Wynne posted a selfie in response before simply saying: "I'll get there."

The 53-year-old was asked again: "Are you ok? Hope so," to which he responded: "I'm ok, it's been tough, but the truth will win." It wasn't the only time he made that statement as he answered the question while on a sun-soaked holiday in Dubai

Meanwhile, he was also quizzed on his return to his BBC Wales radio show by listeners and when asked if he had a tour planned, Wynne teased: "Defo watch this space." T

Wynne declared his love for many of his followers as they championed his return to the airwaves and while didn't have any direct answers about when he might make a comeback, he did respond to one comment: "Miss you guys too. Hopefully it won't be for long."

As he ended his Q&A,, he typed in a message: "1000s of messages today... thanks so much. I'll make a plan for us all to be together soon."
