Nancy Xu has shared the 'gutted feeling' she was left with when she and Shayne Ward were eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing last year.

The professional dancer and the singer and actor were the seventh celebrity to exit the BBC One dance contest during the 2024 series. There was upset over Shayne's exit from the competition as it was a split decision that resulted in head judge Shirley Ballas deciding who stayed and who left.

But shortly after, it was confirmed that the actor and singer's dancing journey would continue as he signed up to return to the dancefloor in the new year as part of the Strictly Come Dancing 2025 Live Tour meaning he was also reunited for more dancing with Nancy.

Atfer kicking off earlier in January, the tour finally arrived in Manchester with a number of performances at the AO Arena and, taking to Instagram, Shayne could be seen taking stock of the empty arena before performing to the thousands in attendance, including his wife Sophie Austin and their daughter, Willow.

Captioning the post, Shayne wrote: "Never stop dreaming! Never stop believing in your ability! I will grace this grand stage again. Manchester I’ve missed you.! @aoarena #manifest #artist #shayneward #singer."

The tour is now set to come to an end on Sunday (February 9) and ahead of the last show, Strictly Live's social media team tasked the show's stars with answeing some questions. Nancy was asked: "What's one dance that you wishes you could have done [on the show]?"

She replied in a video: "Well, well, well, that's a very tricky question because I wish I had done a lot... But one that definitely left me with a huge gutted feeling was the Argentine Tango because that was our plan to do in Blackpool. I wish I could have done that but other than that, I wish I could finish all the dances with Shayne."

Meanwhile, in the same Q&A, Shayn was asked: "If you had to sitch partner, who would you like it to be?" to which he sweetly responded: "The answer is... you're not going to believe it... Nancy! I wouldn't change her for the world. Love you Nancy [blows kiss]."
