Shep took to his Instagram account earlier this week, where he revealed that he had paid a trip to see his eye doctor, Dr. Victoria Bolyard (who might look familiar to Southern Charm Season 5 viewers). Shep snapped a photo of him getting his eyes examined, and standing next to Dr. Bolyard while holding two different pairs of frames. Shep revealed in the caption of the post that his eyes are not what they once were.
"Finally went to see a very pregnant Victoria Bolyard to check my diminishing eyes," he wrote over the snaps.
He then proceeded to try on two different pairs of glasses with the same frames, but in different colors: dark blue and light brown. "I prefer the blue frame," he wrote over the photo, allowing his followers to vote in the poll. "What do y'all think?" Although it's unclear which frames his Instagram followers preferred, Shep does look sharp with his new look.

But these new glasses appear to be the only major change that Shep has done to his face, as he has not gotten any cosmetic work done. During a Dec. 19 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Shep was asked if he had gotten any Botox in his forehead. "No!" Shep replied, immediately.
"I've never done anything to myself. I haven't been to a doctor. Look at my head," he insisted, wrinkling his forehead and showing off the way his face moved.
Who else on Southern Charm wears glasses?
Shep isn't the only one of the Southern Charm cast members to sport some serious eyewear. In addition to Whitney Sudler-Smith, who is always wearing some stylish frames, Shep's friend, Austen Kroll, is an avid wearer of them. After first debuting his glasses at the Southern Charm Season 5 reunion, Austen took to his Instagram account in July 2018, where he confirmed that his glasses are real and have a prescription in them.
"I'm not THAT blind, but definitely need some sort of corrective 'lens' to properly function in day to day life," he wrote in the caption of the post.
