Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell declares love for 'forgotten' passion liennhi

Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell took to her Instagram as she declared her "love" for baking as she made a delicious carrot cake at home.

Dianne joined the glitzy ballroom of BBC One's hit show Strictly Come Dancing back in 2017 when she was first paired with Reverend Richard Coles, becoming the second couple eliminated from the competition. 

Since her first series, she's had a successful few years on the show as she's been paired with the likes of Joe Sugg and Bobby Brazier who made it all the way to the final, as well as more recently Chris McCausland who ended up lifting the Glitterball trophy.

Chris was the show's first blind contestant, and the pair beat Miranda actress Sarah Hadland and partner Vito Coppola, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and dancer Aljaz Skorjanec and JLS singer JB Gill and partner Lauren Oakley.

After being announced as the winner, Chris said: "This is for her (Dianne) and it’s for everyone out there that thought and got told they couldn’t do something. It just shows with opportunity and support and determination, anything can happen."

Joe and Dianne started dating after they met in 2018 on the series, and recently the couple took a trip to South Africa to attend a friends wedding.

Shortly after, Joe returned to the UK but Dianne flew over to Brisbane for work and then Perth where she was reunited with her family.

Now back home, Dianne took to her Instagram and shared a video of her baking a carrot cake. She wrote: "I forgot how much I love to bake... It’s the unknown for me... sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t thankfully this one is a success story ! What’s that one thing you do that you just love ?"

Using a Jane's Patisserie recipe in her video, the author commented: "It looks PERFECT" to which Dianne responded: "thank you for the recipe".

Fans were quick to also show their love, as @fabiak19 wrote: "loving the aesthetic of this video!! even the carrots on the cake match your dress... I really love baking as well cause I find it quite relaxing but I hardly ever find the time to do it".

@tamsin_niven added: "so we’ve got hairdresser, professional dancer and strictly champ. are we adding baker to the endless list of talents? the cake looks incredible and the dress is so cool and unique!". Dianne joked: "I smell bake off".

At the beginning of the video, Dianne showed off her 2023 book Move Yourself Happy which is a 21-day programme designed to find joy in movement throughout your every day routine.
