‘Southern Charm’ Reunion: Where Do Olivia Flowers and Taylor Ann Green Stand, More Costar Relationships

Season 9 of Southern Charm put many relationships to the test — and not everyone has found their way back to being friends.

During part 1 of the season 9 reunion, which aired on January 11, Taylor Ann Green outed former best friend Olivia Flowers’ hook up with Thomas Ravenel. The reveal came after Olivia, 31, and Taylor, 29, had been feuding over Austen Kroll all season.

While Taylor tried to keep quiet during part 2 of the reunion, which aired on Thursday, January 18, it became clear that she and Olivia weren’t on good terms.

“I genuinely didn’t know how to handle this situation. My whole intention was to come out and fix this,” Taylor said on Thursday, pointing to her and Olivia. “Obviously, I know that this is probably not going to be the resolution. I hope that it is at some point.”

Taylor then apologized again for betraying Olivia’s trust by kissing Austen, 36, after Olivia and Austen called it quits in 2022.

“My heart breaks for you, honestly, every single day with what you and your family are going through,” Olivia replied, referring to Taylor’s brother passing away in 2023. “I’m even more sad that I couldn’t be there for you. I don’t ever wish bad on you. I hated this for you. I don’t like that this is all happening.”

Despite being apologetic for their circumstances, Olivia and Taylor didn’t leave the reunion as friends — and they aren’t the only ones.

Shep and Madison

Status: Fine

Shep Rose and Madison LeCroy briefly butted heads during part 1 of the season 9 reunion, but by part 2 they had made amends. “Madison, I’m not against you,” Shep, 43, told her backstage, to which Madison, 33, replied, “You told me to shut up.”

Shep argued he only said that because Madison was “making fun of [his] sexual prowess.” He insisted, “We don’t have a problem.” Madison quipped, “I hope not.”

Austen and Olivia

Status: Cordial

During season 9, Austen and Olivia had several ups and downs after Austen lied about kissing Olivia’s then-friend Taylor. When the season finale rolled around, the twosome were at odds after Austen thought he deserved an apology for Olivia lashing out at him in Jamaica.

Prior to filming the reunion, Olivia and Austen were on a group trip together in November 2023 with Olivia’s new boyfriend, Alex. “We were there with our mutual friends,” Olivia explained on part 2 of the reunion.

However, Olivia broke down into tears when she talked about Austen’s actions toward her on the show. “I was going through some stuff. Your whole personality is inconsistent, what’s your excuse?” Olivia yelled at Austen, who once again apologized for his part in her pain.

Shep and Taylor
Status: Good

“I have a lot of love there still. Always will. I’m really happy and proud of you,” Taylor told Shep in the final moments of the reunion. “I have a lot of love for you too,” Shep answered.

After Craig Conover said he thinks someday Shep and Taylor will get back together and “get married,” Taylor noted she will “always love him” but she isn’t in love with him. “I would be lying if I said I didn’t recently say, ‘I made a mistake.’ I’m scared to look back and say [she’s] the one who got away,” Shep added.

Olivia and Taylor
Status: Not Friends

When asked what Taylor can do to fix their relationship, Olivia confessed, “That is not happening.” She explained, “I will not be friends with you. But I’m not going to make this miserable for you. I’m not going to be negative. We can move forward that doesn’t necessarily mean together.”

Shep and Craig
Status: Friends

During part 1 of the reunion, Craig, 34, admitted that he took a break from Shep after Shep blacked out at BravoCon in November 2023. “This road that you’re on, ends with a cliff. I can’t be in that car anymore. That’s why I didn’t go to that meeting,” Craig, 34, confessed. “After BravoCon, it’s dark, but I was like, ‘He’s going to ruin his life and I have to be OK with that because we’ve been here before.’”

By the end of the conversation, Craig apologized for coming off a little harsh. Shep said he wanted to emulate Craig’s lifestyle, which no longer includes drinking in excess. The pair ended the taping by saying they loved each other.

Shep and Austen
Status: On a Break

Shep took the high road throughout season 9 after learning that Austen kissed his ex-girlfriend Taylor and then lied to his face about it. After watching the show back, Shep confessed, “It broke my f–king heart seeing you, like, whatever hey. Then you laughed about kissing Taylor.”

Shep explained, “I only knew what I said in front of you. Watching other conversations, I was like he doesn’t even come close to getting it. This guy is in la la land as far as his [analysis] of himself and his actions. I just saw zero self-awareness.”

Austen was concerned that Shep was holding a grudge because after BravoCon in November 2023, Austen pulled away from Shep and his drinking issues. “I hate that I don’t talk to you,” Shep admitted. “You don’t know how hurt I was after that.” Austen confessed, “I just thought that we needed a break.”

Austen explained that he will “always” want to “move forward with a friendship with Shep,” but revealed that he thought he’d become an “enabler” for Shep. “The reason that things went down and I was so, as Craig said, suppressed everything was because of all the love I had for Austen,” Shep said. “Maybe it’s time that I cultivate relationships in another vein with other people.”

Craig chimed in, saying, “The three of us have so much history. We do everything together. I think you finding your new normal is important and very wise.”

Craig and Austen
Status: BFFs

While Austen was on rocky terms with almost everyone in the cast, Craig had his back during the two-part reunion. After Jarrett “JT” Thomas claimed that Austen was dragging Craig down, Craig defended his BFF.

“You think I should just cut him out of my life?” Craig asked, noting if Austen “wasn’t trying to get better, we wouldn’t be hanging out. That’s my honest answer. If he stops trying to work on himself then yes, I will separate myself.”

JT and Austen
Status: Enemies

JT and Austen feuded all season, mainly over Austen’s alleged mistreatment of women. During the season 9 finale, Austen got into a physical altercation with JT, who ended up headbutting him.

When they reunited on the reunion stage, JT said he was going to perform a “f–k boy exorcism” on Austen. JT alleged that his feelings for Taylor had nothing to do with their brawl, he also claimed that he “was minding [his] own business” when Austen came at him that night.

“It’s your first season so no one knows what a piece of shit you are. We know who you are,” Austen quipped, telling the group that he and JT “haven’t spoken” since.

Venita, Madison, Leva and Taylor
Status: Cold

“None of us want to see her upset like this,” Leva Bonaparte told host Andy Cohen, referring to Taylor being alienated during season 9. “I don’t think any one of us hates you. I think we’re disappointed in your behavior. That has caused a major setback with the girls,” Venita Aspen said.

Madison added, “I’m not saying you’re the worst person ever, I'm just keeping you at arm’s length.” While the women have kept their distance from Taylor, they have remained by Olivia’s side throughout the drama.
