'So well deserved' DWTS couple make show history with 'superb' dance trucc

It's not often the Dancing With The Stars judging panel are at a loss for words but that's exactly what happened after Jack Woolley and Alex Vladimirov's dance on Sunday.

The Olympian and pro dancer blew everyone away with their contemporary ballroom routine to Florence & the Machine's version of You've Got the Love.

Their emotional routine had all four judges up and out of their seats, with Brian Redmond even declaring that their performance was 'a level of dancing we rarely see on this show'.

Arthur Gourounlian, who was booed earlier in the show for his comments, agreed saying it was a fabulous dance and Loraine Barry added that their routine was 'absolute perfection.'

Newest judge Karen Byrne was also impressed and told Jack and Alex that they'd 'blown everyone away' and that she'd been holding onto her notebook and pen but had 'nothing to write down to critique.'

In a show first, as it's the first time there have been four judges and not just three, the panel all gave Jack and Alex 10s meaning they're top of the leaderboard with a full 40 points.

Fans watching at home were also blown away by the contemporary ballroom routine with many people saying it was 'fantastic' and 'superb'.

'That 40 was so well deserved and well overdue,' wrote one person while someone else said: 'Every week they leave me speechless. What a performance!'

A third praised Alex, whose dad was in the audience on Sunday night after flying in from Australia, saying: 'Alexandra is the best pro dancer I’ve ever seen on DWTS.'

Later in the show, Jack revealed his parents were in the studio as well and had sweetly coordinated with his black and gold costume.

He joked: 'Mum even put a post on Facebook in the week asking if anyone had a gold tie [for his dad] as she couldn't find one anywhere!'

Danny O'Carroll also managed to get a laugh from the athlete when he told Jack that receiving a historic 40 from the DWTS judges must be what it's like to win a gold medal.

Not missing a beat, Jack replied 'I wouldn't know, sorry!' which sparked big laughs from his fellow celebs and host Doireann Garrihy.

The skill on Dancing With The Stars is definitely stepping up and we love to see the celebs improving so much. Bring on next week!
