RelationShep no more.
In the March 6 episode of Southern Charm, Shep Rose came to terms with the reality of where things stood with his supposed girlfriend Sienna Evans.
After she skipped the boat outing with him and his friends, Shep, 45, told Craig Conover he had a necklace to give Sienna, 26. “Do I look like a f---ing total tool if I give it to her?” Shep asked Craig.
Craig wondered when Shep planned to give it to her considering that Sienna had bailed on many plans with Shep and his friends during their trip to visit her in the Bahamas. Shep explained that he planned to see her at their group dinner that night.
“You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see that she doesn’t like him,” Craig said in a confessional interview. “Shep’s going to continue to get led on so what’s the point of having her at dinner?”
Shep assured Craig that he and Sienna “have a connection.”
“No, you don’t,” Craig refuted. “Not anymore. You’re broken up.”
Madison LeCroy shared a similar sentiment with Whitney Sudler-Smith when he stopped by the women’s suite before dinner. “He can't wrap his head around the fact that she's not into him,” Madison, 34, said of Shep.
When Leva Bonaparte FaceTimed Madison and Taylor Ann Green before dinner, the restaurant owner, 45, told them that when she met Sienna, the pageant winner told her, “I’m here for like a good time not a long time.”
“She’s just not that into him,” Leva assessed.
Sienna showed up for dinner, and she and Shep sat down to talk on the beach before the meal. Shep gave her the shark’s tooth necklace, which she called “so nice,” and Sienna put it on immediately.
During their conversation, Shep revealed that he invited Sienna to Italy to meet his family because he thought that “this is it” for him in terms of relationships.
“That’s why this just, it's just nonsense,” Shep continued to Sienna. “It's so sudden. It's like my head being cut off. Actually, it doesn't feel like that at all. It feels like a death by 1,000 paper cuts.”
Sienna felt very differently. “But we weren't in a relationship,” she said to Shep. “We had a lot of fun with each other, and we were always having a good time, you know?”
The Bravolebrity thought Sienna’s assessment was “really minimizing” what he believed they had.
“We were in love. Will you admit that?” Shep asked Sienna.
“I don’t know if we were in love,” Sienna refuted.
Shep felt like he and Sienna “were like, ticking to the top of a roller coaster.”
“We didn't have a label on it,” Sienna reiterated.
Shep said he hated labels. “I just know how I felt and I’m pretty sure I know how you felt,” he said to Sienna.
Shep said in an on-camera interview that “this might be the first time that I try to fight for somebody when it appears that they didn't want it.”
Still, he decided to try to have a fun night with Sienna. “If this is the last time that we see each other let’s, I guess, have a good night, you know?” Shep said to her.
When the rest of the group showed up to dinner, Madison pointed out that Shep gifted Taylor, 30, a similar necklace to the one he gave Sienna back when they dated.
“It’s the same one you got me,” Taylor agreed.
But Shep pointed out a subtle difference. “You had the Great White, that’s the megalodon,” he said.
Madison chatted with Sienna at the table, and Sienna told Madison that she wanted to “take a step back from things” with Shep.
“Shep’s someone who kind of needs someone who is going to be in the passenger seat of his life and I’m just not in a position to be in the passenger seat of Shep’s life,” Sienna said.
Then the rest of the cast began to grill Sienna, with Whitney, 56, asking if she and Shep saw themselves getting married down the line and living between Charleston, S.C., and the Bahamas.
“We would first need to a) define the relationship, which we never did, and go through those steps,” Sienna responded. “As it is now, we're not in a relationship right now.”
Craig told Sienna about Shep reacted to her ghosting him throughout the trip. “You stressed him out so much that he blacked out and slept on the beach,” Craig announced.
Austen asked Sienna why she told Shep that she loved him and Venita Aspen questioned, “You don't want to be with him right now or you don't want to be with him ever?
“This is so sad,” Rodrigo Reyes said in a confessional. “He's cleary just got played for a fool in front of everybody. And I’m like Sienna, it is time to leave.”
Shep recognized that, too, and pulled Sienna from dinner and decided they should part ways.
“She’s running for cover, that’s how I see it,” Shep told the cameras. “She knows the truth but she doesn't want to say it. It's just sad to see things break down in front of you.”
When Shep returned to the group, he told Austen Kroll of Sienna, “Thought that it was a good idea and I was wrong.”
At breakfast the next day, Shep said he felt “free,” adding to the cameras, “There was more cons looking back than I remembered in the moment.”
