Ruth Langsford made a return to This Morning with her Loose Women co-stars

Ruth Langsford dazzled viewers as she returned to grace the This Morning sofa on Monday for the first time since her split from former co-host Eamonn Holmes.

The popular Loose Women presenter shone in a glittering silver gown for the occasion, joining forces with fellow panellists Coleen Nolan, Olivia Attwood, and Jane Moore.

The quartet celebrated a remarkable 25 years of ITV's daytime favourite alongside current presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.

Ruth seamlessly stepped back into the familiar scene on the sofa she once shared with former husband Eamonn, for their Friday appearances and filling in for past anchors Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, also with Rylan Clark at times.

Following the surprising news of their split in May, Eamonn has been spotted enjoying vacation time with his new partner. However, Ruth, ever the professional, demonstrated no discomfort returning to her old stomping ground, engaging lightheartedly with her Loose Women co-stars without referencing her previous This Morning tenure.

Highlighting the long service of both Ruth and Coleen, Ben queried, "The two of you have been on it (Loose Women) from the beginning? " with Ruth confirming succinctly, "And Jane."

"Did you think when you did that first ever show it would still be going 25 years on? " Ben asked. Jane responded: "No it was only commissioned for four weeks - at the end of the four weeks we all went 'bye'. It was really lovely, what fun and then it got recommissioned and it just kept coming back."

The ladies also had a laugh about their matching silver outfits to celebrate the show's silver anniversary, with Coleen quipping: "I got on the train like this! ".

In other news, former This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield is set to return to our screens in a Channel 5 documentary, Phillip Schofield Cast Away, which premiered on Monday, September 30.
