Rio Ferdinand has revealed when he's on holiday with wife Kate he won't use the loo in their room and will go searching for another one even in the middle of the night.
The former England and Manchester United star, 45, said he will leave their room and go wandering around a hotel looking for any other toilet to use - even if it's one for disabled guests.
Rio, telling how he fears using their own bathroom would spoil the romance with Kate, 32, even if she's unlikely to wake up for hours, said: 'We go on holiday and we have a room.
'I know there's loads and loads of people that are doing late night shifts that have seen me walking round hotels in the middle of the night looking for a disabled toilet or a spare toilet - to go for a number two.
'Because I refuse to do it in the same room. I've got a serious issue.'

Rio said his former TOWIE star wife also avoids doing anything that might dampen the passion between them, joking: 'Kate has never farted in her life. She doesn't even go for a number two.
'If she farted in front of me I swear it could be over, romantically.'
He added, while speaking to his ex-footballer pal Peter Crouch on the Therapy Crouch podcast: 'One of my mates actually had a house built and - I can't name him because you know who he is - but he was saying that they've got two toilets, which they call thrones, alongside each other in the toilet.
'They're that comfortable. It's horrendous that, isn't it?'
Kate, revealing the pair's squeamishness, said: 'We can't even talk about that word.'
The couple married back in 2019, three years after they started dating, and welcomed their daughter Shae in July.
Kate is also mother to three-year-old son Cree and stepmother to Rio's children Lorenz, 17, Tate, 15, and Tia, 12. Rio's late wife Rebecca Ellison sadly passed away from breast cancer in 2015.
The mother recently admitted she was 'worried' about welcoming another child with husband Rio as it would shift the family dynamic.
Rio confessed: 'I know there's loads and loads of people that are doing late night shifts that have seen me walking round hotels in the middle of the night looking for a disabled toilet or a spare toilet - to go for a number two'

The influencer said she is struggling with mum guilt and self confidence as the Ferdinand's find their feet as a family of seven.
In a new interview, the television personality spoke out about Shae's birth and how they have adapted after initial worry about how a new baby would change the family unit.
'It's always a bit of a worry for everyone in the family, even me and Rio. It affects everyone, because a new baby in the house changes the dynamic but like anything in life, everyone just adapts. You get used to it and you find your space,' Kate told The Mirror.
But Kate admitted she is struggling with feelings of mum guilt and puts pressure on herself to be 'a great mum, wife, go to the gym, look and feel good'.
She said: 'How do I spread myself across five children? How do I make sure I'm there for everyone and giving them all quality time?
'I don't all the time, obviously, because it's impossible. I'm struggling with that a lot at the moment. Mum guilt is huge, but I suppose you just have to ride it out because you're never going to be perfect.'
Kate says their daughter Shae is a 'dream' and 'the happiest baby' but added they aren't planning on having more children as 'five is more than enough' and she's only 'just about managing'.
