Getting physical in Potomac! Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Potomac is heating up and so is the drama.
In the trailer for the season, fans saw a glimpse of a shocking physical altercation that occurred between Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels, and it turns out, it was just as surprising for Potomac housewives.
“When this fight happened, my mind was just so blown and confused. I’m like, ‘Why is this happening?’” Robyn Dixon tells Us Weekly exclusively on the Friday, August 21, episode of the “Getting Real with the Housewives” podcast. “It definitely was a very disappointing thing to experience and to see. You never want to see your friends get into a physical fight like that.”
The incident took place at a dinner with their fellow cast members in October 2019. The “Not for Lazy Moms” podcast host, 36, allegedly grabbed the former Miss United States, 33, by the hair and pulled her down.
Monique and Candiace were both charged with second-degree assault after they both filed a complaint against each other following the incident. The charges were later dropped, but if the case continued, they both would have faced jail time.
“Everyone has a different perspective on it. It’ll be interesting to see and to watch. That’s a big part of the season as well — the fallout from it.” Robyn, 41, tells Us. “I understand people are excited [to watch]. They’re intrigued.”
