'RHOP': Mia Hurls 'Gold Digger' Title at Ashley Who Suggests Her Costar Is 'Jealous' After Getting 'Fool's Gold' tram

Mia Thorton is accusing Ashley Darby of digging for gold instead of love.

In PEOPLE's exclusive look at Sunday's episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac, Wendy Osefo and Nneka Ihim confront Mia for previously claiming that Ashley was a "gold digger."

Mia doesn't deny the accusations and explains why she believed Ashley had married for money and thus, grown quiet about her plans to divorce her estranged husband Michael Darby.

"Last year you were TikToking all around and you were like, 'Yeah! Getting a divorce!'" she begins. "I think you're not getting it right now because you married Michael for his money."

When Ashley grows defensive, she flips the claims onto Mia and asks if she married her husband Gordon Thorton for his money. As she denies Ashley's line of questioning, the other Housewives flock to Mia's aid and recall her previous claims that Gordon was "broke" so she couldn't have married for money.

"I'm 100 percent completely honest with you guys," Mia says before referring to Ashley, "I think that you should be honest with yourself"

In a conversation with the cameras, Candiace Dillard Bassett weighs in, saying she "might be okay with nasty long balls for a little bit longer if it meant I could, you know, go to Dior."

"I just think she's jealous because Mia thought she was gold digging but she really got fool's gold," Ashley responds in a separate confessional. "Okay? My s--- was real and authentic and she got some pyrite."

While the Housewives discuss how much she would receive from her divorce, Ashley confirms that she won't be receiving alimony and will only be awarded child support for the children she shares with Michael.

Ashley goes on to explain how she and Michael divide their funds when it comes to their kids Dean and Dylan.

"Michael and I both pay for the children so when it comes to their schooling, clothes all that stuff we both contribute to that," she tells the cameras. "I will say Michael does contribute to my car, at least for now."

When producers ask if they still share a joint account, Ashley admits that she still has access to a credit card that Michael says she can use for "emergencies" that she doesn't feel "comfortable using."

"We do have a joint account and that joint account I use for the children -- even for the groceries I take out of that account... and Uber Eats," she adds.

Though Ashley announced the pair's separation in April 2022 after eight years of marriage, the former couple have yet to file for divorce. At BravoCon 2023, the reality star told PEOPLE of the complicated reasons as to why the two haven't made any real steps towards terminating their marriage.

"I don't know what this is. As I mentioned, I did this meditation retreat, and one of the things that I meditated on was what is my issue? What is it? So I've decided I'm going to talk to my lawyer and really try to get it going," she explained. "I've just been a little bit complacent about it, if I'm honest, because there are benefits to being married."
