Pete Wicks has confirmed his 'big news' to fans as he made a decision to return to taking part in a very important challenge after supporting Sam Thompson during his own emotional charity feat.

The reality star and podcast host has confirmed that he'll be a team captain during an upcoming trek for the breast cancer awareness charity, CoppaFeel.

The charity's One Day CoppaTrek! Challenge will return for another year, taking place this summer, led by CoppaFeel patron Giovanna Fletcher.

The Overseas Alumni challenge is for everyone who has taken part in one of our previous multi-day CoppaTreks and will see those taking part head to Iceland where they'll take on 58km over three days.

And now Pete has revealed he'll be joining in the fun, and leading one of the teams, having last took part in a trek in 2023. The Strictly Come Dancing 2024 star shared: "BIG NEWS! I will be once again joining my @coppafeel family and @mrsgifletcher as a CoppaTrek! TEAM CAPTAIN

"This July I’ll be heading to Iceland on a 5 day trekking adventure with 60 inspirational humans - all on a mission to end the late diagnosis of breast cancer and save young lives by encouraging everyone to check their chest."Those of you who’ve been following me for a while will know I went on my first @coppafeel trek in 2022 in the Sahara Desert... I loved it so much that I returned to Mont Blanc in 2023!

"Both times, I was blown away by the strength and resilience shown by the people taking part in the challenge - and I cannot wait to get out there and meet my new team while supporting @coppafeel in their life-saving mission. Make sure to check out @coppafeel to follow our journey."

Giovanna was quick to respond as she said: "And we go AGAIN!!! Thank you for always saying yes!" to which Pete sweetly responded: "I’ll never stop saying yes…you know that."

CoppaFeel patron Vicky Pattison also replied: "See you there son," while Sam supported: "What a man!!" Sam's sister Louise commented: "Go you homie," while former Dragons' Den star Sara Davies added: "Have an amazing time mate! I bet you’re a phenomenal captain!"

And fans were also quick to heap praise. @woozieju said: "Hats off to you & @vickypattison. Having been through breast cancer myself I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the hard work that goes into these things.. Good Luck!"

@jlstostayingrelevant commented: "You're absolutely SEN-SAT-IONAL!!!! Proud of you and this." @kyantgriffiths replied: "This is incredible Pete!" @megan.a.h.l added: "As someone that has experienced this terrible disease thank you SO much for helping to raise awareness!! And support. Absolutely amazing charity."

It comes after Pete was seen surprising Sam during his mammoth challenge for Soccer Aid for Unicef. The former Made in Chelsea star was seen breaking down in tears as he finished a five-day Soccer Aid challenge, that saw him run and cycle a total of 260 miles, on Friday (June 6).

Sam's Match Ball Mission saw him spend last week travelling from Chelsea's Stamford Bridge stadium in London, the location of last year's Soccer Aid game in aid of Unicef, to Manchester United’s Old Trafford home, which is hosting the 2025 event, to deliver the match ball.
