Some Dancing with the Stars fans are hoping to see Artem Chigvintsev return to the ballroom when Season 34 premieres later this year. Could a new TikTok video with fellow pros Gleb Savchenko and Sasha Farber be a hint that he’s making a comeback?
Fans Hope Artem Chigvintsev Will Return to DWTS
DWTS pro dancer Gleb Savchenko recently uploaded a TikTok video in which he performs a dance routine with Sasha Farber and Artem Chigvintsev, the latter of whom is front and center in the clip. All three men can be seen smiling as they perform.
Savchenko didn’t include a caption for the video, except to tag his fellow dancers. However, that hasn’t stopped fans in the comments from speculating about a possible return to the ballroom for Chigvintsev in Season 34 of the show.
“We need Artem back on DWTS,” wrote one commenter, while another wrote, “I knew Artem would dance again!!” There were several more comments expressing similar sentiments. DWTS pro Daniella Karagach also commented on the clip, writing, “Let’s gooooooooooo.”
A few commenters questioned whether Chigvintsev should be welcomed back to the ballroom, taking the side of his ex-wife Nikki Garcia. However, the most prominent comments were in support of Chigvintsev making a comeback.
Chigvintsev Was Not Invited Back for Season 33
Chigvintsev was not invited back to the ballroom for Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars, following his arrest last August for domestic violence. He and his ex-wife Nikki Garcia settled their divorce in November of last year.
Charges against Chigvintsev were dropped following his arrest. He and Garcia were granted restraining orders against each other, which were also later dropped. TMZ reported last month that, as part of their divorce settlement, Garcia is required to pay Chigvintsev $3,500 per month in child support.
The settlement also required Garcia to pay Chigvintsev $200,000, the second half of which is owed by the end of the year. The couple was granted joint custody of their son Matteo, who is turning 5 years old next month.
