Loose Women star Penny Lancaster was forced to shut down her co-star on Tuesday's episode of the ITV show after being caught in an awkward moment on the panel

Penny Lancaster found herself in a rather uncomfortable situation

During a recent edition of 'Loose Women', Penny Lancaster found herself in a rather uncomfortable situation while the show's panel discussed Meghan Markle's latest Netflix series, where the Duchess dispenses tips on cooking, gardening, and entertaining from her beautiful home in California.

The conversation, guided by host Christine Lampard, highlighted the ever-persistent fascination with Meghan, with Christine suggesting viewers would lap up the content eagerly.

Turning to Penny, she remarked, "See, I can imagine you being the perfect hostess. I can imagine you teaching Meghan a few things."

This prompted an awkward chuckle from Penny who tried to steer the discussion away, saying, "Well, maybe we should just kind of draw the line at this point in the conversation. I think we've got to move on to the next subject."

Christine persisted, quipping, "No! Penny, I'm not moving on until you tell me what you do. I can imagine your house just smelling gorgeous."

Eventually, Penny caved and revealed her penchant for playing the perfect hostess, confessing, "I think as far as making time for your friends and family, we're all so busy in our lives so when we do make the time to invite someone over, I do like to create an atmosphere.", reports the Mirror.

She further added, "Whether you're having dinner on your laps in front of a movie or you're having a more formal sit down, I love to almost walk through the experience."

The ITV presenter shared with the panel her penchant for playing music and lighting candles to create the perfect atmosphere when she entertains guests at her place, saying, "I like that whole ambience of just gelling everything together, depending on what the occasion is. I love to entertain."

Tempted by the sound of her hosting style, Christine cheekily solicited an invitation to which she was readily assured: "Absolutely!" Frankie Bridge chimed in with humor: "I always light a candle, but it's because I live with smelly boys!".

When the discussion turned to Meghan Markle's new series, "With Love, Meghan," Jane Moore didn't seem too enthused. Her expectations had been high, especially given the magnitude of the Netflix deal, as she put it: "I was expecting big things, and I was expecting big things because this is a multi, multi-million-pound deal."

She continued, voicing her unmet expectations from the streaming giant's costly venture, "So, a streaming platform like Netflix is going to throw money at something, you expect it's going to be original, fresh, exciting, revelatory. Sadly, and I'm only speaking from my own personal experience, it was none of these things."

Despite acknowledging the aesthetic quality of the show, "It's beautifully shot, she looks amazing, she's in loads of cream line. I mean, who wears cream-lined when they are cooking? But anyway, she looks great, it's beautifully shot, a lot of money has clearly been spent on it. But whisper it, it's boring, I just found it boring."
