Dianne Buswell has joked the 'truth's coming out' months after her Strictly Come Dancing win alongside Chris McCausland.

As fans know, the professional dancer emerged victorious alongside the comedian during the hit show's 2024 final back in December.

There were tears aplenty when they lifted the coveted Glitterball trophy, with their win also making history as Chris was the BBC One dance contest's first blind contestant, as they beat off competition from their fellow series finalists.

Following the end of the show's 2024 run, the emotional new friends went their separate way. Dianne joined her co-stars on the Strictly Come Dancing Live 2025 tour.

Meanwhile, Chris headed back to his stand-up tour, Yonks!, which he started before signing up to the hit dance show.

However, they continue to be in each other's company virtually thanks to their joint podcast, Winning Isn't Everything, and the latest episode was released on Thursday (June 12) with a clip shared by Dianne on Instagram.

In the snippet of their chat, the pair are recalling Strictly when Chris admits: "One thing I did before joining Strictly was stretch," to which Dianne replied: "You did your stretching..."

Chris continued: "I started stretching and I kept it up because I thought, 'Well, I've got no dance experience. I'm not going to go into this...' People said, 'Go and have some dance lessons.'

"I thought no, because I've never dance and that's the point of me doing this is to start from scratch. But the one thing I'd hate to do is move all them tour dates and join Strictly, then be injured in two weeks."

But Dianne responded: "Well hang on, you only thought you were going to last two weeks. Now the truth comes out! He was silently confident he was going to make that final and win it, weren't you Chrs. 'I'm only going to last two weeks...' What a liar you are!"

Chris was quick to put Dianne straight but she said: "It's alright, this is why we have these kinds of things because it really show your true colours, Chris"

She then shared the post to Instagram with the caption: "Now the truth comes out ! @chrismccauslandcomedy. Did anybody else bet on Chris to win from the start?" Fellow Strictly 2024 finalist Sarah Hadland was quick to respond, as she quipped: "Go on Di - call him out [crying laughing emojis]."
