Mia Thornton is getting real about her love life after posting a photo with her estranged husband, Gordon Thornton, shortly after confirming her breakup from Incognito aka Inc.
The mom of three caught up with BravoTV.com backstage at The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9 reunion taping on January 9.
"I'm a single girl," she said about her current relationship status, before laughing. "We'll see how this plays out. Never been single a day in my life until today."
Mia's status confirmation comes after announcing her split, and after she shared a selfie with Gordon on her Instagram feed.
"NEW Year. New Beginnings," she wrote alongside the photo with Gordon. "Cheers to living life to the fullest."
She also used hashtags for "mom and dad" and "NYE 2025" to conclude the caption of her post.
Mia further got the rumor mill churning when she posted an Instagram Story that same day of her wearing a diamond ring on that finger (she announced her separation from Gordon in the fall of 2023).
"I'm so extremely grateful for 2024," she wrote alongside the January 1 photo. "Can't wait to see what God has planned for 2025."
Why did Mia Thornton and Inc break up?
Mia confirmed her split from the Atlanta-based radio host on January 1, about a year after she went public with the romance (though the two actually first dated in high school).
"Inc is my best friend and perfect in so many ways, but I have decided to focus on my children and maintaining a healthy co-parenting relationship with their father," Mia said in a statement to The Shade Room, referring to Gordon and their kids, Jeremiah and Juliana "JuJu" Thornton (Mia also has a son named Joshua from a previous relationship).
Months after filming wrapped, Mia has put her romantic life on the back burner to try to improve her relationship with Gordon.
Before breaking up, Mia teased that an engagement to Inc was inevitable, and that the two wanted to have children together.
"I think my wedding to Inc would be the first wedding that I'm gonna have in a church...Inc is very much more so into his faith," she exclusively told The Daily Dish in the fall of 2024. "So I think we would do it under God in the right way."
She also shared their plans to expand their family.
"Inc does want more children," Mia told us. "We’re gonna take our time, and I’m not opposed to having a surrogate, but he wants me to carry. And he wants to have two more, so pray for me."
