‘Married to Medicine’ Recap: Sweet Tea Goes off on Dr. Jackie + Dr. Jackie is Done with Sweet Tea 1 liennhi

On the recent episode of “Married to Medicine,” Simone is still feeling pressure for planning the couples’ trip to Hilton Head. As expected, Curtis is uncomfortable returning to the scene of his misdeed. Curtis also worries that someone in the group will speak on the situation again. Despite this, Jackie and Curtis eventually pull up to the rental And Sweet Tea calls out Jackie when she starts to feel like there could be a hypocrisy issue. 

At the height of their conversation, Sweet Tea snaps and makes everyone uncomfortable. An apology may not put Tea back in Jackie’s good graces.

Curtis has reservations. 

It’s a traveling day for the couples’ trip. The group realizes Jackie, Curtis, Heavenly and Damon are late. When Simone calls Heavenly, she says she isn’t coming because planning a trip to Hilton Head was wrong. When they call Jackie, she breaks down in tears. She confirms Curtis doesn’t want to go because he worries the trip will open up old wounds. So they aren’t going. 

The news doesn’t sit well with the others. Toya and Eugene feel like no one is going to bring up the past cheating incident. So Curtis is overreacting. But they will respect their decision. 

At some point, Jackie and Curtis change their minds. So they arrive to the rental with Heavenly and Damon. 

Sweet Tea goes off on Jackie. 

The issue comes up at dinner. Curtis says they are not going to discuss the past. After Sweet Tea says it should be okay for Jackie to be in the hot seat, Gregory tries to get her to drop it. She snaps and says no one in the group has cared about her feelings. And Jackie has made insensitive jokes. 

Jackie says she can handle the hot seat because she has to be in the position every day in her line of work. 

She eventually tells Sweet Tea to get everything she needs to say off of her chest. Sweet Tea snaps, “Well, *****, **** you!” Everyone is taken aback by this. In a green screen interview, Phaedra says Sweet Tea went too far speaking to an elder like this. Gregory agrees and later tells Tea she needs to apologize. And while it felt good to get even at that moment, it wasn’t the right thing to do. 

Jackie is done with Sweet Tea. 

Interestingly enough, Simone and Heavenly hash things out. Heavenly apologizes and makes it clear that she knows Simone wasn’t trying to be malicious when she chose Hilton Head as the destination. And Jackie has asked her to stop fighting her battles. 

Sweet Tea apologizes to Jackie when the ladies all get together for a day out. However, Jackie isn’t receptive. She thinks Tea’s apology only benefits her. Jackie doesn’t like the way Tea speaks to her. Toya, Simone, and Heavenly are pretty sure Jackie won’t be giving Tea a second chance.
