Sara Carton and Joey Leveille are officially more than friends. On Sunday, July 13, the “Love Is Blind” stars finally confirmed their romance on Instagram with a PDA-filled post, months after denying they were dating. Sara, 29, shared two rooftop photos: one of the pair smiling with arms wrapped around each other, and another capturing a steamy kiss. “Happy🥹. my newest life chapter title,” Sara captioned the post, tagging Joey, 36.
They Connected on Season 8, But Dated Other People
Sara and Joey first connected in the pods on “Love Is Blind Season” 8, but ultimately pursued other relationships. Sara got engaged to Ben Mezzenga, while Joey proposed to Monica Danús.
Neither couple ended up tying the knot. Sara chose not to marry Ben on their wedding day, citing “fundamental differences,” while Joey and Monica’s engagement ended before the altar.
Romance Rumors Swirled After the Reunion

Fans began speculating about Sara and Joey’s relationship status following the Season 8 reunion, where the two sat next to each other on the couch. Soon after, Monica addressed the situation in an interview with Elite Daily, revealing a text conversation with Sara where she asked about the rumors.
“She called me and said, ‘Nothing’s official, but we are seeing each other,’” Monica claimed. “She said they didn’t want to make anything official until any online hate dies down.”
Monica, who once considered Sara a friend, said she felt blindsided. “All this time, when I was venting to her about Joey and she was saying she had my back, she was actually with him,” she said. “It’s a betrayal, and it’s very hurtful.”
Sara & Joey Initially Denied the Relationship

In March, Sara appeared on The Viall Files podcast and firmly denied the romance rumors. “I’ve seen this a few times online in the past 24 hours — to be clear, Joey and I are not dating,” she said. “I definitely have no capacity to even think about a relationship.”
At the time, she referred to her connection with Joey as a deep friendship. “There was a love square between me, Monica, Ben, and Joey,” she said. “We were all talking to each other until the second to last day in the pods… me and Joey did establish a really great friendship.”
Their dynamic continued to spark curiosity after they were spotted together at Ethyl’s Bar & Restaurant in New York City on May 4. On the Dear Shandy podcast, just days later, both Sara and Joey clarified their status: “We are dating in the sense of exploring our relationship and getting to know one another,” Sara said. Joey added, “Well, I wouldn’t say casually. We’re exploring and with the future of maybe being boyfriend-girlfriend.”
The couple’s official post drew attention — and comments — from fellow “Love Is Blind” castmates. David Bettenburg dropped a playful Michael Jackson popcorn GIF, while Lauren O’Brien teased, “Cute! How’d you guys meet?”
Former LIB constant Bliss Poureatezaadi dropped a heart. Taylor, who got married to Daniel on the same LIB season, wrote: “God forbid a girl be happy ❤️”
In a not-so-subtle move, Ben posted a video that same day of himself dancing at a bar with Monica Danús and Love Is Blind Season 6’s Chelsea Blackwell.
