The pods are officially open! Yep, it's the eighth time we've heard Nick and Vanessa Lachey say those immortal words, as season eight of Love Is Blind just dropped on Netflix. The dating reality shows sees a group of 32 singles, this time from Minneapolis, go on a series of dates in pods, where they can't actually see their date. Through these dates they form romantic bonds, and eventually build connections so strong they end up getting engaged. And this season six couples got close enough to engagement, but who is actually still together? Here's what we know so far.
The Love Is Blind season eight couples are:
- Joey and Monica - still together
- Ben and Sara - still together
- David and Lauren - still together
- Devin and Virginia - still together
- Daniel and Taylor - still together
- Alex and Madison - not together

Joey and Monica
Relationship status: Still together (we think)
Bonding over The Sound of Music? Oh we are so here for Monica and Joey. The couple got on instantly thanks to their similar sense of humour and shared beliefs (read: a dislike of country music). While a lot of their relationship is light-hearted they do have deep convos around their families. They become the first couple to get engaged on the series after Joey got down on one knee and of course Monica accepted. Upon meeting IRl for the first time, they got on just as well as they did in the pods.
During the trip in Honduras, Joey opened up more about his experience with OCD and Monica is insistent her sleep sound machine is part of their relationship. When they return home and start to meet each others friends and family, Monica's sister, Nicolle, isn't thrilled with her sister's choice.
Knowing the vibes are off, Joey then suggests perhaps there is an element of jealousy between the siblings. Trying to balance both her sister and her fiancé Monica suggests the pair talk one on one, which Joey agrees to.
However, this doesn't mean it's completely smooth sailing, in the teaser for next week's episodes, Monica expresses her worry that she is more into Joey than he is into her. And during the teaser for the wedding, it appears Monica says "get me out of here". Could this be an indication it's a no on the wedding day?

Ben and Sara
Relationship status: Still together (we think)Ben and Sara start off talking about air fryers, and soon transition into deeper chats around religion, faith and the LGBTQ+ community, something that is very close to Sara's heart. Things seem to be giong well, with the pair having a very honest about Ben going to church and if Sara would be open to it.
However, they hit a stumbling block when it comes to discussions on other topics, particularly Black Lives Matter, and his admission he didn't vote in the last presidential election. Ben tries to reassure Sara that his beliefs do in fact align with hers and she comes to understand Ben more.
Ben later proposes to Sara which she happily accepts and their first IRL meeting at the reveal goes very well.
Their time in Honduras goes swimmingly, and when they return to Minneapolis, they meet with Ben friends who reassure Sara about what a great guy Ben is. It seems it couldn't be going better until the end of episode nine Sara sees a TikTok comes out in which a woman is crying about the filming of Love Is Blind, and Ben says he think the woman is referencing him.
Ben then revealed he had already seen the video and blocked the woman, and that he hadn't spoken to the woman in over four years. Sara then questioned why the woman would be concerned if something had happened between the pair four years ago. Ben then confessed he had ghosted her after a date.
Sara seems ok about the situation, saying she isn't going to dismiss the woman's feelings but also trusts Ben for now. In the teaser for next week's episode they meet up with a family or friend who questions if now is the right time for them to get married. Will they make it down the aisle?

David and Lauren
Relationship status: Still together (we think)David and Lauren's first date sees David make a joke about Lauren's age, but weirdly, it works for Lauren and the two have a great first date. They bond over their share visions of the future, including ideas of how they'd raise children and they also keep things light talking about their tattoos.
However, David is also getting to know Molly and they build a strong connection too. Lauren discovers the bond these two have made and asks that he makes a choice between the two of them.
David eventually bites the bullet and ends things with Molly, and fully pursues his connection with Lauren. David then ends up proposing and they have a good first meeting, if not a bit sticky from Lauren's lip-gloss.
During the trip in Honduras, the couple aren't intimate and they also get into some awkward conversations when Lauren reveals she has dated two guys that David knows of. He questions her intentions and if she was dating someone recently before going into the pods, how does she know she's ready for marriage.
When they move in together back home, David is reluctant to introduce Lauren to his loved ones because of her connection with the guys he knows. Lauren continues to insist how casual the connections were, and her friends back her up when David meets with them.
Lauren is tired of defending her character, but David continues to question her. And if things weren't already going badly, David then meets up with Molly, and the pair talk about sex...

Relationship status: Still together (we think)
Devin and Virginia hit it off on day one after discovering they both went to the same high school, but didn't attend at the same time. They continue to grow their connection, however Devin also gets to know Brittany too.
He opens up about his struggles with addiction with both women which in turns sees them open up. Devin and Virgina agree they want to build a relationship that's based on faith, and Brittany speaks about her sexuality, and that she had experiences with women, but doesn't see herself marrying one.
After this Devin focuses more of his attention on Virginia and they end up giving each other gifts. He then writes Virginia a letter, which he reads out to her and proposes to her. And their first meeting goes well.
During the trip to Honduras they continue to build on their connection and it seems as if nothing could go wrong. However, reality sets in when they get home. Virginia is honest about her business goals, including wanting to be a millionaire, while Devin is focussed on being a basketball coach. They come to blows over Virginia bringing up getting a pre-nup and having separate bank accounts in their marriage.
However, they go onto meet Devin's family and Virginia gets on with them really well and has his mother's blessing.
In the teaser for the next set of episodes, Virginia brings up the pre-nup again and it seems to de-rail things. Will they be able to make it work?

Daniel and Taylor
Relationship status: Still together (we think)
Daniel and Taylor have one of the first dates we get to see in the pods. They get on really well, and open up about their body insecurities and bond over their shared love of Christmas. After many successful dates, the pair end up writing letters to each other, and after the letters, Daniel then proposes to Taylor, which she happily accepts.
After their meeting in person, Taylor is left with the feeling that something isn't quite right and begins to suspect Daniel may have followed her on Instagram before they went into the pods, because of all the things he seemed to bond on her with.
The pair settle down for a conversation for Taylor to address her suspicions and she said she felt like she already knew him and not in the cute "we're soulmates" kinda way, as in he had followed her on Insta kinda way. Daniel then denied following her and she then asks him about certain pictures on his Instagram.
The next set of episodes open with the rest of the conversation and Daniel continuing to insist he never followed her. Production then allow Taylor her phone so she can check to see if Daniel has followed her previously, and she finds out he hasn't.
Following this Taylor is re-committed to Daniel and they travel to Honduras together. They continue to grow their bond and have a great time on holiday. When they move in together, and honestly everything goes so well, they meet each other's families and they all get on well. And now all they need to decide is whose house they'll spend Christmas at.Alex and Madison

Relationship status: Not together
Alex and Madison instantly bonded during their first few dates in the pods, and also got vulnerable with each other pretty quickly too. Madison opened up about her family situation and Alex spoke about his experience of bullying in childhood.
In the meantime, Madison is also getting on really well with Mason, who is also forming a bond with Meg. Does this make it a love square?
Mason makes it clear Madison is his top priority, which has the opposite effect on her and she makes Alex her number one. Soon after Alex and Madison become boyfriend and girlfriend, and Meg and Mason pursue things.
Just as they're nearing an engagement, Alex defends Mason to Madison, and she feels betrayed by her partner. Alex then says they're not ready to get engaged and so they both leave the experiment single.
Have they reconciled on the outside? Well in the teaser for next week's episodes they both attend the cast mixer, but don't appear officially together, so let's see what happens next week.
