Shirley Ballas has admitted to adoring one of her Strictly Come Dancing co-stars 'even more' after stepping out to support their venture away from the ballroom.
The hit dance show's head judge was among the familiar faces and fans who headed to watch Craig Revel Horwood in action on his tour, Revelations: Songs That Boys Don’t Sing, as it arrived in London over the weekend.
After starting as a dancer, the now 60-year-old star worked on the nation’s biggest musicals and became a choreographer, director, and best-selling author and more recently turned to music as he created his first-ever album.
The tour, therefore, follows his album of the same name, which was released last year. He said at the time of its release: "Craig said: “I am thrilled to announce the release of my debut album! It's a momentous occasion for me, and I can't wait to share the songs I've carefully chosen.
"Throughout my musical journey, I've had the privilege of performing as both a dancer and a singer in numerous musicals. However, this album holds a special place in my heart as I've had the opportunity to select songs that truly resonate with me."
As well as singing on the tour, there are also tributes during the show, including to The Vivienne and Paul O’Grady, artists Craig knew and admired, and there is also time for plenty of conversations about Strictly too.
Having seen the show for herself, Shirley shared a number of beaming pictures of herself and Craig on Instagram and said: "I adore you even more after yesterday @craigrevel...
"Thank you for opening your heart and sharing such a beautiful show. It was a fab-u-lous evening if I may say so myself. You’re singing is off the chart, your story is inspiring and you can for sure entertain. You are a true superstar and the king of television in my eyes. If you get a chance to see this tour you must go."
She also added: "Thank you also to @ambl.app and @bobbobricard for hosting me and @vitocoppola before the show. Ambl’s the best app for finding and booking restaurants wherever you are, yehhh."
And the comments quickly came flooding in. @corinnewright5481 said: "Lovely words. You are both adored." @nicolacatterall commented: "Absolutely loved it and @craigrevel was lovely and genuine on the meet and greet."
