Mark Anthony Cuevas is speaking out amid allegations that he cheated on his wife Aubrey Rainey.
The end of their relationship has been a topic of conversation after fans were shocked to see Rainey (who goes by Aubrey Cuevas on Instagram) comment on his March 29 Instagram statement about the split. "This is news to me lol," she wrote.
Rainey raised more speculation about what might have been the valid reason for the breakup when she encouraged fans in the comment section of Cuevas' announcement on Facebook to "go ahead and head to instagram for the details."

"Because this was never a conversation or discussion. He got caught out with women and had to cover his tracks to maintain his 'public image.' i had no part in this statement and its news to me, as it is to everyone else," she wrote.
Now, in an interview with TMZ published on Tuesday, April 1, Cuevas said he wanted to make it clear there was no infidelity in his relationship with Rainey.
According to the outlet, Cuevas said he left a relationship that "wasn’t aligned with the peace and partnership he wants to raise his sons in -- and his focus RN is on being a consistent, integral father."

He and Rainey, who married in September 2022, have two sons: Ace, whom they welcomed in April 2021 and Axton, who was born in early 2022.
The dad of two claims that his desire to split was communicated "directly," and told the outlet that his "intention was never to hurt or blindside anyone."
"I’m not here to argue timelines or opinions. I’m focused on peace, parenting, and protecting what matters most. The boys are the most important thing right now," he said. PEOPLE has reached out to Rainey for comment.

Cuevas shared similar sentiments in a statement shared with PEOPLE on March 29, noting that the split has been "a deeply personal and difficult transition," and that his goal was "never to create drama or disrespect anyone."
He said that he and Rainey "decided to separate in hopes of creating a healthier, more peaceful environment for our kids."
Noting that his "focus is on being a present, loving father and doing what’s best for our boys," Cuevas told PEOPLE that he would not be "engaging in back-and-forths."
"But I do hope people can remember there are two sides to every story, and more importantly, two children at the center of this. I'm doing my best to handle it with grace, and I hope others allow space for healing too," he wrote.
