As fans watch the latest episodes of Love Is Blind season 7, they’ve been trying to work out whether Hannah Jiles and Nick Dorka are meant to be — or a complete mismatch.
Hannah, 26, and Nick, 29, got engaged inside the Washington, D.C. pods in fall 2023, which started airing on Netflix earlier this month. As they started blending their lives pre-wedding, fans questioned their compatibility.
“I don’t know if Hannah MEANS to be mean, I think she thinks it’s cute and funny, but she stays dunking on that man,” one social media user wrote via X. “And the fact that she would absolutely be in shambles if he even returned 10% of the same energy, makes it 10x worse.”
During their post-pod vacation to Mexico, Hannah confirmed the existence of (and read aloud!) a list of red flags she noticed about her fiancé after she claimed to get an “ick” from Nick riding a fake duck in the sand.
“I think it was blown out of proportion a little bit,” Nick exclusively told Us Weekly of Hannah’s reaction to the impromptu duck race. “I also understand why she got a little bit upset, but it was harmless and I was just having fun and I wish the situation went a little bit different, but I see where she’s coming from.”
After returning home to D.C., Hannah made additional comments about Nick’s living arrangements and cleanliness habits.
“I really tried to give Hannah a chance, but I don’t like this woman,” another viewer wrote via X. “The snarky comments that she makes about Nick’s room, and the things he can’t do (like put up a TV) is so unnecessary. These mean digs must come from her own insecurities.”
Additional fans criticized Hannah for acting like a “mean girl” because they think she is belittling Nick, while separate viewers thought Nick acted like a “useless 28-year-old man-child” for still living in his parents’ basement and not having cooking skills.
There are also supporters of the couple, both together and individually.
“After the pasta scene, I’m on your side 😂,” one viewer wrote to Hannah via TikTok comment, referring to a scene where Nick asked her how to boil water to cook pasta, while another noted that they “didn’t get the hate” directed at Hannah.
Hannah’s supporters also chalked up a number of her onscreen comments as a result of her sense of humor.
“The people don’t understand the sarcasm and dry humor, unfortunately,” one TikTok user commented.
Another wrote, “You are my fav from this season and are truly iconic.”
Hannah replied, “Sprinkle sprinkle.”
In the comments of Nick’s latest Instagram posts, they also praised how he came across in the episodes.
“You’re the best! I hope, whether it is Hannah or not, that you’re with someone who lets you be your whole self and loves you for it,” one fan replied, to which Nick thanked them.
A separate user penned, “Love is a wild ride! Just keep staying true to yourself.”
Neither Hannah nor Nick have addressed the backlash.
The pair got engaged sight unseen after Hannah broke off her pod connection with Leo Braudy in favor of Nick.
“I think it was really hard with Leo and Nick because I liked them both and they’re very different,” Hannah told Us. “And so I was like, ‘OK, I think I need to make a decision. … Nick, I think we need to break up. I just think maybe we’re just not compatible.’ And then as soon as I broke up with him I was like, [sobbing face]’ so I was like, ‘Maybe I made the wrong decision.’ I just instantly regretted it and I knew. I chose Nick because I just, like, knew he was my person.”
Nick, for his part, told Us that he was “glad” Hannah gave him another chance.
It is not known whether the external pressures will cause further cracks in their relationship or whether they will say “I do.”
Love Is Blind season 7 is currently streaming on Netflix and new episodes drop Wednesdays. The reunion airs Wednesday, October 30, at 9 p.m. ET.
