Loose Women panelist Kelly Holmes was left retching live on television as the ITV daytime show relived a scene from Friday's episode of Big Brother which showed one housemate picking their nose
Loose Women was thrown into chaos on Monday (October 14) as the panellists discussed a scene from Big Brother's first live eviction of the new series on Friday, and they weren't impressed.
Host Christine Lampard introduced housemate Lily Benson, 20, before showing a videotape of Lily sitting on the sofa after the evictions picking her nose with her eyes closed.
To make matters worse, the Chinese takeaway worker looked unphased as she put the contents of her nose into her mouth. Despite the other housemates firmly objecting to her unhygienic habit, Lily has continued to pick her nose live on TV.
Christine said to her Loose Women co-stars: "Housemate Lily has been caught digging, and when I say digging, I'm going to ask you to look away if you can't deal with that kind of thing."
After the Big Brother clip was shown, Dame Kelly Holmes could be heard retching as she begged fellow panelists to not repeat Christine's phrase "digging for gold."
"Kelly is horrified, to be fair our audience was horrified then as well", Christine added while Brenda Edwards begged the housemates to "not do that" and branded the act as "nasty".
“You’re not good with that at all”, Christine asked Kelly as she replied: “No, nothing like that. That’s why I don’t go on I’m A Celeb”, before pretending to be sick.
Brenda then chimed in: “I don’t think there are many people that would be good with sitting and watching somebody doing that and then doing what she did afterward, that’s just nastiness.
“For me, I think it’s something that you need to stamp out from an early age, like when you’re a child.”
Brenda confirmed she would call out anybody in her presence who displayed the same habit as Big Brother star Lily and urged people to do it in private.
She added: “It’s about etiquette, I mean she (Lily) looked like she had fallen asleep doing that, it looked therapeutic for her. No.”
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV and ITVX
